We know it can be thankless, but have you ever felt the high of turning a writer’s first draft into a piece of magic, if not their best work? That’s what we’d like you to feel, forever. A fulfillment borne out of a generosity of spirit, to give of yourself for something bigger.

Sometimes what we all need isn’t a second chance but a proper chance. Calling all storytellers who’ve given it a solid shot before but now want to soar. Those who no longer wish to roll solo but want to be part of a bigger mission. Come, let’s up the ante, writing & reporting.

How does a newsroom disrupt itself? By going back to basics. At Debunk, much as we’ve always done our journalism differently, we feel it isn’t & it hasn’t been enough both for ourselves & our audiences. So we start again. That’s why we’d like those who move like us to join us.

Picture this: You’re a 13-year-old sitting for your KCPE exams and out of nowhere, aunty flo shows up unannounced. It’s your first-ever ‘‘time of the month’’, & you’re totally unprepared. Where do you even start?
If you're of a certain age, you recall pre-app taxi days, pricier fares and all - but we trusted them enough to send our kids to school with them. Taxi apps came as a convenient novelty, but some turned to a nightmare of criminality. How did we get here?

Last week, Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza faced the senate to defend herself against impeachment charges. The nation watched in shock as evidence was presented, most notably a recording of Tigania East MP at a political rally in Meru where he made thinly veiled rape threats against Governor Mwangaza, with an animated crowd cheering him on.
Ever since winning last year's elections by a landslide, defeating seasoned male politicians, Governor Mwangaza has been embroiled in various controversies. She has faced impeachment twice, and each time the senate has intervened to save her.
According to @Jacqy_oh, the challenges faced by Kawira Mwangaza are not due to failures in upholding county laws or in her official duties as governor. Rather, she is being targeted for being a woman who dared to challenge and triumph over the deeply entrenched patriarchal politics of Meru.

Embracing the beauty of 4C hair goes beyond its length or the fleeting praise on social media. From lockdown reflections to childhood memories, Michelle Ngarama's struggles with her hair taught her one profound truth: Self-worth shouldn’t be dictated by strands on your head.
Unsafe abortions in Kenya are not just statistics; they are tragic tales of lost lives, shattered dreams, & state negligence.
Today, on International Safe & Legal Abortion Day, @miss_mumbz1 urges advocacy for healthcare that includes safe, legal abortion without prejudice.
Life has been a mosaic of unexpected turns for Catherine Keyum. From envisioned perfection and planned futures to unplanned motherhood, her journey hasn't been easy. Yet in the struggle and chaos, it's the choice for peace and love for her child that makes it all worthwhile.

Newsrooms continue to mistake testosterone for journalism skills. It's time to give us a seat at the decision-making table. As @jacqy_oh points out, when women and marginalised groups are absent, storytelling suffers and audiences miss out on diverse perspectives.
When bae reads our mind and tackles those dirty dishes without us even asking... now that's the kind of foreplay we all deserve 💁♀️
"Every woman’s hair is her crown. However, when working with a budget, oftentimes we are limited to a specific range of hairdos..." Khui Karanja highlights on still being stylish, without breaking the bank.

Having nullified her 1st ever presidential petition, there is no prize for guessing whether Mwilu will nullify William Ruto’s election if she finds sufficient grounds to do so.
After all, The Mwilu Question arose this year, albeit not as prominently as in 2017.

Coming after the jurisprudentially safe-playing Dr. Willy Mutunga and the recklessly courageous David Maraga — Martha Koome is about to make her play.
Whichever way it goes, from now onwards, people shall put some respect on her name.
