Obi (13) can easily swim 5km in a pool. He’s a stronger & more technical swimmer than I. But open water swimming is like hiking a mountain vs treadmill walking. Dehydration is brutal in so many ways😖. Today he joined me in completing his first 1.6km open water swimming. 🥰

You want someone who asks questions, remembers the little details, cares about your thoughts and genuinely wants to understand who you are beyond what you can do for them. You shouldn’t have to keep offering pieces of yourself to someone who never thinks to ask for them. Being listened to is nice, but being genuinely known is something else entirely. You don’t just want someone who loves having you around. You want someone who is actually interested in who you are.
