Social welfare fraud cost the state €29 million in 2025. IPAS centres cost €1.2 BILLION. Harris playing Billy Big Baws on dole wasters while content to hand out the billions for bogus asylum seekers be like Tyson Fury calling out me for a beat down 😀

The same thing which has always been happening and which your average Irish person has merely never noticed: politics.
SuperValu fridges being cyber attacked, bomb scares on airplanes, and now media outlets including RTE with more bomb treats. What the actual fuck is going on??

The same people who try to pass off that there is no link between migration and crime are now thinking about how they can sell the public on the need to hire private security (who will no doubt be foreign) just to stay in control of multiracial Dublin. Ah, progress.

The Defence Forces are “unaware ” how many, if any, of their foreign-born recent recruits came to Ireland without a passport or documentation as they do not gather that information, Carol Nolan TD was told. She said she is seeking further information and that this was not about individuals but standards. gript.ie/army-cant-tell-if-f…

It is very important to pay close attention to what is happening in the US because hard lessons are being learned there from which we in Ireland and Europe can benefit greatly.

She doesn't need to debate you, her worldview is hegemonic and you agree with most of it. It will be discredited when it meets reality as the Americans are finding out, but we need to provide the path forward - which you cannot do, because Aontú are non-ideological and gatekeep.
I suspected this would happen. That when Aontú hit 9% in the polls, establishment figures would come for us. There is much in this that I disagree with. A twitter post wouldn't do it justice. I respectfully invite Kathy to debate these issues with me. irishtimes.com/opinion/2026/…

🇺🇸 Midterms wipeout 🇭🇺 Orban losing 🇧🇷 Bolsonaro losing to an 81 year old socialist 🇬🇧 Labour now leading Reform 10 points in polling 🇳🇱 Geert Wilders losing a third of his vote share Everywhere the slopulist right is taking a drubbing. These people have nothing to offer young people, no vision, no economic promises beyond protecting boomer pensions and property prices. The only pitch to anyone else has been fear of the left and mass-immigration and it's failed to hold back either. One of the only exceptions to this trend is the AfD, who responded to the Iran War and Greenland nonsense by reasserting German sovereignty, while Farage was begging his government to let America use British bases for the Purim war. The right can't win with these people in charge. It needs to do what the left did in the 1960s and be taken over by young radicals who totally rebuild intellectually. Will we find the human capital to do that? For years the right has selected for vapid, fame hungry influencers and mindless shills, and the average right winger's brain has been so fried by conspiratorialism they can hardly think. It will be tough, but regardless of what comes next, the vision of the establishment right has already lost.

This isn't justice, he was already subject to a deportation order. This freak should have met with a noose, and the people who enabled him should know nothing but the four walls of a jail cell for the rest of their days. We'll never rid ourselves of the shame until they do.

It must be funny to be one of these Irish leftist types who actually do seem to proud of their country, many of whom speak Irish, are knowledgeable about Irish history and folklore etc and clearly want the Irish identity to endure - yet their ideological markers prohibit them from caring about issues like birthrates or demographics. They end up in this odd position where they’re like “yeah I’m proud to be Irish but I love that we’re a vanishing people about to be outnumbered by foreigners in our homeland”.
The national birth rate is the lowest since records began 📉 In this new series, Miriam O’Callaghan explores the hidden forces behind collapsing birth rates - and asks what it means for the generations to come? 📺 #IrelandsPopulationCrash | Starts Wednesday at 9.35pm

Key quote: "bulwark against the far right". It's difficult to be in the "battle of ideas" when you reject them based on whether they're in vogue. O'Driscoll is just cynically courting disappointed voters or he's on the duller side - Lord help him if he should encounter an idea!
I was proud to contribute to this motion & propose it to my local FG constituency organisation where it was backed 2:1 by members after a great debate. Parties of the centre cannot shy away from ideological debate. We need to contest the battle of ideas. irishtimes.com/politics/2026…

More disingenuousness. Nobody is making the latter argument. The controversy is a symptom of the wider illness of moral disunity; this change will implicate us in a war at the behest of a foreign consensus, not Irish interest, and you well know that.
One can have a principled stance on neutrality. "Ireland should be neutral and not join wars on anyone's side". There you go. That's a principled stance on neutrality. "Other countries should have a veto over Ireland's foreign and defence policy" is not about neutrality at all.

Bear in mind that John McGuirk is not a nationalist and his loyalty to Ireland is suspect due to his position in the Zionist media influence network here. This makes his sly suggestion that maintaining the triple lock is to Britain's benefit particularly rich.

Given the Irish ruling elites seem interested in implicating us in the Rus/Ukr war on the latter's side I'd have said a Russian veto is more likely, so I find the insinuation of some form of crypto-seonínism for having a principled stance on neutrality frankly disingenuous.
It remains baffling to me that so many people in Ireland - who I usually agree with - are going to the mat to maintain a British veto over what Ireland does with its own army. Many of these people call themselves nationalists.

🇬🇧 The Economist has published data analysis showing non-White immigrant groups are vastly overrepresented in sex crimes in Britain. EU and East Asian migrants commit less than the average, while Middle Eastern and North Africans commit about four times more.

In my book The Gnostic Question, I argued that liberalism's ultimate tendency is emancipation from the given: freeing the sovereign individual from all unchosen bonds, identities and obligations. In a pluralist society with no shared conception of the good, freedom becomes something entirely negative – freedom from all constraints – and autonomy and consent become all-consuming moral principles. This logic must eventually extend to all that is unchosen, even the most intimate and natural human relationships like the bond between grandparents and their grandchildren.
🇮🇪 The Irish state has published an advert discouraging grandparents from hugging their grandchildren, as part of a campaign designed to promote "consent".
