The Faithful Sheriff STRIKES Again
youtube.com/watch?v=V9WGp-lt…
This apparently won't be for all servers or past messages, but it still seems shady
The fact that you have to OPT OUT of this update as opposed to opting in is also bullshit
This is the same company who had a massive government ID leak, so tread carefully
Discord will soon make public server messages searchable on Google
The feature will be enabled by default for US adults, but users can opt out in their privacy settings
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Missing context: only applies to messages posted after the update, in public channels of discoverable servers.
No private servers or DMs.
Indexed messages won’t show usernames or avatars.
Admins can opt out entire servers; users can opt out their own messages.

This is the problem with YouTube. They claim they take the abuse of their copyright system “very seriously,” and yet they pretty much never punish the false claimers
It’s unbelievable how little action Youtube takes against people who abuse their copyright tools
So the Faithful Sheriff is still filing false copyright strikes against tons of YouTubers. He already admitted to striking ConnorEatsPants without even watching his video, which is literally illegal.
@TeamYouTube @YouTube why are you not banning this guy? @TheFaithSheriff
So this YouTuber asked for help with her channel termination, and YouTube's AI bot sent her a COMPLETELY UNRELATED CHANNEL in their response. What the hell lol
Hi @TeamYouTube, I’ve sent correspondence to YouTube Support regarding the termination of my Youtube channel(UCqAqLr-ZChKiU8WPC-BeyKA), and have forwarded my previous correspondence for context.
I’ve now received an email referencing a completely unrelated YouTube channel that does not belong to me.
This raises real concerns for me about privacy and data handling. It’s troubling to receive ianother channel in correspondence about my own case, and it makes me concerned that YouTube’s automated systems may not be taking sufficient care to protect users’ privacy and ensure cases are handled correctly.
Could you please help escalate this for a proper human review of my channel termination and clarify why an unrelated channel was included in the email? I’m asking for someone to investigate my specific case, not another generic appeal link. Thank you.

Every single politician that supports the Kids Online Safety Act needs to be voted out
This senator is yet another corrupt mass surveillance supporter who is using that same "protect the kids" bullshit excuse
You can't show cars on YouTube anymore without potentially getting copyright claimed lol

This is why YouTube's Copyright System and copyright law in general sucks so bad. ANYONE can be copyright claimed for ANYTHING, by ANYONE
Even though it's illegal, false copyright claimers/strikers rarely get punished for abusing the copyright system
I've had a copyright claim submitted over a few small Tesla clips in my latest video while talking about some of the sweet Roadster thruster footage. Obviously all fair use. How is it fair @YouTubeCreators that a baseless claim like this can be made by a company that has absolutely nothing to do with Tesla? All monetisation removed again for up to 30 days including shopping and I just need to take it until my dispute expires. Add to that I need to tick boxes in my dispute submission agreeing that
"I understand that filing fraudulent disputes may result in termination of my YouTube channel."
For creators this stuff scares them into being bullied into having their earnings taken away. It only needs a 2 second glance to see that the claim itself is fraudulent, so such claims should never make their way to a creator in the first place.
All the power is with the claimant, almost nothing with the creator. 🥺
