Jason Statham has actually spoken publicly about why he has avoided superhero movies. There are interviews and reports from 2013 and 2023. While promoting The Beekeeper, Statham explained: “I don’t have a big appetite for a costume, with cape and tights.” He said he prefers old-school action movies inspired by actors such as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve McQueen and Clint Eastwood.

🇺🇸 ELON MUSK DIDN'T BUILD HIS EMPIRES ALONE. AND THAT'S A FACT WORTH DISCUSSING. Tesla was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning before Elon Musk joined and became its biggest investor and eventually CEO. At SpaceX, engineers like Tom Mueller played a major role in developing the rocket technology that made the company successful. But here's where the debate gets interesting: How much of a billionaire's success comes from personal genius, and how much comes from the talented people working behind the scenes? Musk deserves recognition for his leadership and ambition, but the engineers, designers, and employees deserve recognition too. Do we give too much credit to the CEO and not enough to the people doing the actual building? Let's hear your thoughts. 👇

Growing up, I was taught that my uncle Daniel was the black sheep of our family. He had spent twelve years in prison for a crime nobody wanted to discuss. Whenever I asked what he had done, my father would become angry. "Some people are born troublemakers," he always said. "And your uncle is one of them." But my mother never agreed. The first time I saw Daniel after his release, I was nine years old. He stood outside our gate carrying a worn backpack. His clothes were simple, his hair had turned grey, and he looked much older than his actual age. My father refused to open the gate. But my mother walked straight past him, opened it, and hugged her brother. My father called her foolish. She didn't respond. From that day, Daniel visited occasionally, but nobody else in the family welcomed him. Years passed. My father lost his business, our savings disappeared, and eventually, we received a notice that our house would be repossessed. My mother became ill from the stress. We had nowhere to go, and every relative who once promised to help suddenly stopped answering our calls. Then, one evening, someone knocked. It was Daniel. He looked at the notice on our table, listened quietly as my father explained our situation, and then asked one question. "How much time do you have before you lose this house?" My father lowered his head. Daniel nodded, placed his backpack on the sofa, and said: "Pack whatever you need. You're coming with me. My father immediately became defensive. We don't need anything from you. Daniel looked at him for a long moment. Then he turned towards me. "You're old enough now. I think it's time you understood why I went to prison." He opened his backpack and brought out an old suitcase. Inside were photographs, bank documents, newspaper cuttings, and a sealed envelope bearing my grandfather's signature. My mother started crying the moment she saw it. My father suddenly stood up. Daniel, don't you dare open that!" Daniel looked him directly in the eyes. Why? Are you afraid they'll finally discover what happened twenty years ago? Then he handed the envelope to me. And my father did something I never expected... He got down on his knees and begged me not to open it

A CRUEL KIND OF LOVE EPISODE 1 – THE WOMAN IN THE CORNER OFFICE Mara has worked at Hayes International for two years. She is known for being reliable, organized and extremely professional. But there is one secret nobody at the company knows. She is hopelessly attracted to her boss, Victoria Hayes. Victoria is the kind of woman who makes people nervous simply by walking into a room. She dresses elegantly, speaks confidently and rarely smiles. Mara has developed a habit of arriving early just to see Victoria walk into the office. She notices everything about her: the perfume she wears, the way she adjusts her glasses when reading documents and how she always drinks black coffee during morning meetings. Mara knows it is ridiculous. One afternoon, Sophie visits her during lunch. Sophie notices Mara staring at Victoria through the glass walls of her office. “Please tell me you’re not doing that again.” “Doing what?” “Looking at your boss like she’s the last woman on earth.” Mara laughs nervously. “Can you lower your voice?” Sophie shakes her head. “You’re going to get yourself fired one day.” Mara doesn’t take her seriously. But later that evening, during the company’s annual celebration, everything changes. Mara drinks more champagne than she should. Victoria also attends the event with Daniel, although they spend most of the evening apart. After Daniel leaves, Victoria approaches Mara. They have a surprisingly personal conversation. Victoria asks whether Mara is happy working for her. Mara says yes, although she admits Victoria can be intimidating. Victoria laughs. It is the first time Mara has heard her laugh like that. As the evening progresses, Mara becomes increasingly nervous around her. Before leaving, Victoria asks Mara to accompany her outside. They stand near the hotel entrance, talking. Mara looks at Victoria and says something she immediately regrets. “Sometimes I wish you weren’t my boss.” Victoria looks at her. “Why?” Mara freezes. “Because… I think I would like you more.” Victoria doesn’t respond immediately. Mara quickly apologizes and walks away. But Victoria watches her leave. For the first time, the powerful CEO doesn’t know what to say.

On a Manchester to Faro Flight, a Stranger Asked Me to Give Up My Aisle Seat So She Could Sit With Her Husband. I Said No, and the Whole Row Turned on Me I'm 34, and I work as a graphic designer in Manchester. I spend most of my day hunched over a desk, and two years ago I slipped a disc in my lower back. Since then, I have to stand up and stretch at least once an hour or the pain turns into a dull fire that runs down my leg. So when I booked a week in Portugal with my sister, I made one rule for myself. I would pay extra for an aisle seat. Six weeks before the flight, I paid £18 to lock in seat 23C on the early morning flight from Manchester to Faro. It felt like a small price for being able to walk around without climbing over strangers. On the morning of the flight, I woke at 3:30, got to the airport by 5, and boarded with my rucksack and a neck pillow. I settled into my aisle seat and let out a long breath. There was a man by the window reading a paperback and a young woman in the middle seat already asleep with her hood pulled up. I was just opening my book when a woman in her sixties stopped at my row. She had a neat silver bob, a flowery scarf, and a worried smile. "Excuse me, love," she said. "My husband's sitting three rows back in a middle seat. Would you mind swapping with him so we can sit together?" I looked back. About three rows behind us, I could see a grey-haired man squeezed between two large men, his knees pressed against the seat in front of him. "I'm sorry," I said politely. "I paid extra for this aisle seat because of my back. I really need to be able to get up and walk around." Her smile tightened. "It's only a couple of hours," she said. "I know. It's just that I'd be stuck in a middle seat, and that's the one thing I can't do." She stared at me for a long moment. Then she said, loud enough for the whole row to hear, "Unbelievable. Some people have no heart." The man by the window looked up from his book. The woman across the aisle turned her head. I felt my face go hot. "I'm sorry," I said again. "I hope you find someone who can help." She muttered something under her breath and walked back down the aisle. I heard her say to her husband, quite clearly, "Selfish. Completely selfish." I stared at my book without reading a single word.

Patient: I need to be honest with you, Doctor. Doctor: That’s what these sessions are for. Patient: I think about your hands on me after I leave. Not clinically. Doctor: Transference happens. Patient: This isn’t transference. I get wet during the examination, and I don’t want it to stop. Doctor: We have to maintain boundaries. Patient: You didn’t pull your hand away when I shifted closer last time. Doctor: I was checking for tenderness. Patient: You stayed longer than necessary. Your breathing changed. Doctor: I’m referring you to a colleague. Patient: Because you’re affected too? Doctor: Because continuing would be unethical. Patient: Unethical or inconvenient? Doctor: Both. Patient: So you feel it.
