I had a great conversation with the UK Prime Minister @AndyBurnham, and we are grateful to Britain for its unwavering, strong, and truly leading support. Today, Britain made a strong decision to provide an additional £10 billion in financial support – £7 billion in economic support over the next three years, and another £3 billion in British export support, primarily for the supply of much-needed weapons that will strengthen our protection of lives. This is on top of the annual support Britain already provides to Ukraine. A truly strong and very timely step – coming right as Russia needs to see and feel that Ukraine will not be left alone to deal with the problems Russia is so eager to escalate. Every step to strengthen Ukraine brings Russia closer to realizing that it must end this war of its own making. Of course, Andy and I also discussed sanctions policy, and Britain will remain principled on this – setting an example that matters globally. I am grateful to Britain, to Prime Minister Andy Burnham and his team, and to every person around the world who understands that standing with Ukraine is the right thing to do – that it means being on the right side of history. 🇺🇦🇬🇧

Colom: She has the audacity to say, “why are you bringing Pete Buttigieg down to the Gulf Coast?” My response is, why does Pete Buttigieg care more about rural healthcare, more about transportation, more about Amtrak than she does? That's the real question.

Days before Trump's Texas rally scrapping the EPA's "Super Emitter Program," satellites detected a massive methane plume near Lubbock. The rollback strips satellite analysts of the legal power to report these major leaks, saving drillers billions while hiding emissions.

🚨 BREAKING: U.S. OFFERS RUSSIA ECONOMIC DEALS AS PART OF UKRAINE PEACE NEGOTIATIONS! According to the Financial Times, Washington is discussing renewed American investment in Russian oil projects, including Sakhalin, and potentially restoring Russian oil exports to Europe through the Druzhba pipeline. Meanwhile, Zelensky confirms that U.S. proposals have included demilitarized zones in Donbas and the Kinburn Spit, with possible Ukrainian control over certain areas. The future of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is also under discussion. Here’s the uncomfortable question: Why is the country that invaded Ukraine being offered lucrative business opportunities while Ukraine is being asked to negotiate over its own territory? Peace must not become a business reward for aggression. ft.com/content/d703aaae-f607…

More #Censorship. Instagram just started censoring me more, too, as I've been openly talking about how we need to continue Obama's promise of a better world and how modern Republicans in Congress have become increasingly Corrupt. This has been an ongoing thing they do for years.

Hey @Meta 👋We are currently hosting a get-out-the-vote rally in Osceola County, home to a large Puerto Rican community, and our #LatinosConAngie @instagram page was suddenly taken down while we were actively posting content from the event. This page is a critical communication tool for reaching Latino voters and mobilizing our community. With just seven days until Election Day, every minute matters. We are calling on Meta to immediately restore the page and provide an explanation for its removal. Voters deserve access to critical election information, especially in these final days. @andymstone

President Trump and I are on the same side when we speak about ending Russia’s war, but we see different instruments for achieving that goal. My philosophy is that Putin is a deeply Soviet person, both in his reality and mentality. We know it because my generation was born in the Soviet Union. When Putin is lying, we feel it. We were neighbors with the Russians for so many years. That's why I think we understand the Russians more clearly than the United States. The United States, considering global security, can discuss with the Russians different topics. But we understand the mentality of both Putin and the Russian people, their soldiers and civilians. When they are ready to do something, and when they fear Putin because they know they can be imprisoned. If they don’t go and kill Ukrainians, Putin will sanction them in his own way. Therefore, President Trump supported us on some topics, while on others we have different views. From an interview with The Sun. (1/3)

🇺🇦 🇺🇲 The confrontation inside Trump's Ukraine peace negotiations is now coming into focus. Le Monde reports that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner spent nearly three hours pitching Ukraine's presidential chief of staff, Kyrylo Budanov, a postwar economic arrangement built around restoring Russian oil and gas flows to Europe through Ukrainian pipelines. The meeting took place on October 9 at the Shell Bay golf club in Florida. Witkoff presented the proposal as a regional prosperity plan: Ukraine would collect transit revenues, Europe would receive cheaper energy, and Russia would regain access to commercial routes disrupted by the war. Budanov saw something fundamentally different. According to a witness cited by Le Monde, he objected that the arrangement would recreate Ukraine's dependence on Moscow. “Our model is not Belarus, but Poland!” he reportedly replied. The meeting was interrupted, and Budanov called Zelensky. When talks resumed, news arrived that Trump had announced a separate agreement with Putin involving Russian diesel. Le Monde reports that an irritated Witkoff then demanded that the Ukrainians accept the arrangement and stop striking Russian oil refineries, arguing that the attacks endangered the wider world. A source familiar with the Ukrainian delegation described its members as exceptionally distressed by the encounter. The account adds a revealing dimension to the commercial negotiations we have been tracking. The proposed Lukoil asset sale, Novatek's involvement in an Alaska LNG venture, the broader US-Russia list of business opportunities reported by the Financial Times, and now the proposed restoration of Russian energy transit through Ukraine all point to the prominence of energy deals in Washington's diplomatic approach. These are separate proposals, with different participants and legal circumstances. But Le Monde's reporting exposes the strategic disagreement underlying them. For Witkoff, restoring commercial flows appears to be part of the mechanism for producing a peace settlement. For Budanov, according to the account, those same flows threaten to restore Moscow's economic leverage over Ukraine. The reported exchange also raises a question about sequencing: why was Kyiv being pressed to stop attacking Russian refineries while Russia continued striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure? Le Monde's reconstruction relies on accounts of a private meeting. The reported exchanges have not been independently confirmed by the participants. Source: Le Monde

Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

🚨 JUST IN: BIG TROUBLE FOR SCOTT JENNINGS! CNN’s pro-Trump commentator has been hit with a MASSIVE $72.5 MILLION defamation lawsuit from political streamer Hasan Piker. The lawsuit, filed today in federal court in Washington, D.C., accuses Jennings of spreading a deliberately manipulated video that falsely portrayed Piker as advocating for the lynching of Black Americans. But here’s where things get even worse for Jennings. Per the complaint, Jennings didn’t just broadcast misleading footage. He allegedly added a FABRICATED QUOTE that Piker never said, stripping away the context showing that Piker was actually mocking racist rhetoric, not endorsing it. Independent fact-checkers previously confirmed that the video misrepresented Piker’s remarks. Now Piker is seeking $27.5 MILLION in compensatory damages and another $45 MILLION in punitive damages. The allegations will have to be proven in court. This could become a major legal headache for one of Trump’s most prominent defenders on cable news. It’s about time this kind of deception has consequences.

There was a U.S. senator from Mississippi who voted for the infrastructure bill, but it wasn't her.
