Congrats to @AnnaLiley, @labratDBKG, and @SimonNeuroLab on having their research published in eNeuro and featured by @SfNtweets!
According to new research in #eNeuro, @AnnaLiley et al. found the lateral orbitofrontal cortex & basolateral amygdala regulate the discounting of delayed punishment, suggesting these regions may be targets to improve decision-making in psychopathology eneuro.org/lookup/DOI/10.152…

Lot of trainees were looking to meet prospective PIs in-person at SfN. Since it’s cancelled, can we start a thread of ppl looking to hire techs, students, or postdocs in the upcoming year?

Love the cheeky summary of this classic Lashley paper. Also, there is a great resources for those looking for other classic papers in psych. psychclassics.yorku.ca/
Ever heard of Karl Lashley's "In Search of the Engram"? Of course you have! Ever read it? Me neither. I tried to today. Couldn't find a copy. Remarkable that such a famous work is so inaccessible. If anyone has been able to find it, I would love a pointer (or a pdf).

Can we collectively stop using the terms basic science or basic research? There is nothing basic about what we do. Our research is complex, beautiful, and foundational. I propose that we rebrand basic research as Foundational Research.
