$META is asking the market for up to $95B in new stock offerings to fund its AI build-out. It announced this on 26 Oct, days after the shares slid over 7% on worries about that same spending. Meta raised the lower end of its capex forecast range and the stock fell, Reuters reported. The concerns were about credit and whether the spending pays back. Now Meta wants shareholders to fund more of it! Selling shares means Meta doesn't have to borrow more, and credit was one of the fears. The cost is dilution. Each existing share becomes a smaller slice of the company. The Guardian also reported that the raise comes in two parts and sells a new nonvoting Class C stock, so Zuckerberg keeps control. #Nvidia, #AMD and #Broadcom, all three chipmakers, have shown interest as cornerstone backers. Meta trades at $634.38, about 20% below its 2025 record of $796.25, and moves about $25 on an avg day. The final size and pricing of the offering will show how much the market will pay for the plan.
