Molly's Cupcakes Hit for Fifth Time as Coordinated Smash and Grab Wave Targets 12 Chicago Businesses
Chicago police are investigating a widespread string of smash and grab burglaries targeting commercial storefronts on the city's North Side. The latest wave of property crimes struck at least 12 distinct establishments early Tuesday morning near the intersection of Clark Street and Roslyn Place in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
According to investigators, a coordinated group exited a white vehicle and systematically broke the glass doors or front windows of multiple businesses to gain entry. The perpetrators focused heavily on extracting currency, removing entire cash registers from several of the targeted properties before returning to their vehicle and fleeing the scene. Among the heavily vandalized locations was the popular bakery Molly's Cupcakes, marking the fifth time the small business has been violated and burglarized over its 20 year history.
The local alderman released a statement confirming that the Chicago Police Department has deployed active burglary missions and specialized monitoring units to patrol the business corridor. Business owners are actively being requested to review and share surveillance video to help detectives identify those responsible. No suspects are currently in custody.

CHICAGO — An unidentified man was killed and a 38-year-old man was wounded when rapid semiautomatic gunfire erupted near State and Lake streets at approximately 2:39 a.m. Wednesday.
Chicago police said both victims were discovered outside in the first block of E. Lake Street with gunshot wounds.
Unidentified adult male sustained multiple gunshot wounds about the body and was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
38-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg and was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition.
No other injuries were reported.
Area Three detectives are investigating the homicide. Police released no information about a possible offender or motive.

ABC7 reporter Michelle Gallardo said the shooting appeared to have started near State and Lake outside theWit hotel before moving east along Lake Street toward Wabash Avenue.
Initial information obtained by ABC7 indicated that one victim appeared to have been shot in the ankle and was in good condition. At least one person was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to police radio traffic cited by ABC7.
Security guard Lamar Hankins described what he heard:
“Semi-automatics have a certain, I should say, rhythm, but a certain sequence that that it follows a sequence. That's a simple not a not a but a boom boom boom boom boom boom boom sequence, and that's what that's what that's what I heard.”
Another witness said he saw a shooter standing over someone who was already on the ground:
“Saw this guy like as he was standing over, like shooting someone who was already on the ground. I saw the like flashes, like the muzzle flashes. It it was at a distance, but I couldn't make it out.”
Gallardo reported that the eyewitness accounts indicated the shooting might not have been random.
At the time of the ABC7 report, Chicago police had not yet released the updated information confirming that one victim had died.
Second Loop Double Shooting in About 29 Hours
Wednesday morning’s homicide marked the second double shooting in the Loop in approximately 29 hours.
CWBChicago reported that a gunman entered the 7-Eleven at 33 E. Adams Street at approximately 9:32 p.m. Monday and pointed a firearm at a 26-year-old man.
The two briefly struggled before the gunman opened fire, striking the 26-year-old multiple times and wounding a 23-year-old apparent bystander in the foot.
Gunman fled east on Adams Street and may have entered a silver sedan.
Officers found the 26-year-old victim sitting on the stairs of a nearby CTA station and bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition.
Police recovered four shell casings inside the store.
Gunman was described as wearing a black tank top and jeans with an item covering his head.

Please listen up. I am about to go on a rant right now. so in the whole state of Iowa there is not one insurance company that provides PPO plans to an individual. They are only provided through an employer so if you’re an individual and you want a PPL plan, you can’t get one. You are stuck with a crappy HMO.
You call any insurance company and you’ll be directed to go to the “marketplace”to go look at their “marketplace plans.”I looked at one, an HMO, It was over $900 a month $3500 maximum out-of-pocket with limits on how many doctor visits you could have per year. this isn’t healthcare. Forget going to the chiropractor getting any kind of physical therapy, diagnostic test tests, or procedures.
I’m a cancer survivor. I need to have access to doctors and imaging and diagnostic tools and testing and a decent insurance plan. In the whole state of Iowa, there isn’t one offered unless you get it through your employer.
Iowa has among the highest cancer rates in the country. Do you think some of that might have to do with the fact that the healthcare is inadequate and that we can’t get the coverage that you can get in neighboring states?
And let me be clear, this is the impact of Obama care on our healthcare system. Don’t ever come at me and talk to me about Obama care and how great it is when you’re getting your really great insurance through your employer and you’ll never have to go on it!!!!! People like you who supported Obama and support this fantastical notion of universal healthcare for everyone, which means restricted healthcare, can go pound sand!

🚨 This needs more attention. Poll Watcher in New York City says she was removed before the ballots were sealed. She says election officials kicked out all the poll watchers, even called to have them removed. They would not seal the ballots and wouldn’t close the voting machines
“Something very sketchy happened while I was poll watching in the Bronx. I was closing a location, and at first I thought everything was fine. I had checked the numbers, and the number of voters who signed in matched the number of ballots scanned — I was just really pleased and getting ready to go home. And then I noticed something really weird.
Which was that all of the poll workers were checking out and going home and the voting machines were still open. They were unlocked, unsealed, and the ballots hadn't been taken out yet. Now, this is very strange.
I've been poll watching in New York City since 2021, and I've never seen that happen. The procedure is that every voting machine has a poll worker assigned to it, and at the end of the night, each individual poll worker closes down their voting machine, seals it, and takes the ballots out and seals the ballots. And the ballots and the voting machines were totally unsealed.
So I just sat down and waited to see them take the ballots out and seal them. And then the coordinator started getting really like antsy and nervous, and they were like, you're all done, you got your numbers, you can go. And they actually got on the phone and called the deputy chief clerk who told me that I had to leave. And I said, no, I'm a poll watcher. I'm supposed to stay until the ballots are sealed and the police pick them up — They finally took the ballots out of the machine and put them in bags on the floor. And I said, they're not sealed.
And then they got the seals out and they put the seals on. I said, can I see the seal numbers? They said no. I said, did you check the seal number on the paperwork and initial it? She said yes. I said, can I see it? She said no”
“A guy named Charles, to close down the voting machines by himself. And I said, the voting machines aren't sealed. And he said, I'm sealing them, but he wasn't”
This means after all the poll watchers leave, Democrats could easily introduce any additional ballots they wanted to and also change the ballots in there
In New York the law says poll watchers are specifically authorized to observe the unlocking, examination and related sealing steps for voting machines and ballot boxes
It’s 2020 all over again. This will keep happening because no one ever gets held accountable for stealing our elections

My experience with the Christian Nationalist bros is that they've inverted virtually every commandment.
