As much as I adore the Duo, if I had to chose the best phone for me, it's hard to beat the 18 Pro Max. I miss the cameras, battery life, and FaceID most of all. Not to mention the simplicity and clarity of a slab phone. I'm only on Day 4, so I'll reserve final judgment.
The new iPad mini launching today has two different A20 Pro chip configs depending on the capacity. Makes the buying decision a little more complicated. But 128GB is pretty low in the era of onboard LLMs, but a 512GB iPad mini is awfully spendy too.

One of my favorite tweaks to the iPhone UX on the duo is that you can just tap the status bar icons to invoke the control center. No need to swipe down from the upper right corner. 👌🏻
The short and square front screen of the iPhone duo turns out to be one of my favorite aspects of it. It’s just perfect for reachability, and it feels balanced in the hand instead of top heavy.
24 Hours in with the Duo and while I love it, I am missing the incredible battery life of the 18 Pro Max and faster charging. The Duo really likes to throttle battery charging, probably because of thermals. And of course the awesome 18 Pro Max cameras. Touch ID is okay.
Touch ID would be fine on the duo if it wasn’t for the fact it’s always in a different location, depending on how you’re holding or folding the phone. They need to be more consistent when indicating where the Touch ID button is on the screen at any given time.
