🚨The City of Detroit Office of Inspector General recently published a report regarding allegations that a City of Detroit Board of Police Commissioner (BOPC) abused his position by using his BOPC badge credentials to enter restricted scenes and interfered with an active police investigation.  The OIG found that the Commissioner exceeded the scope of his Charter-defined duties and created confusion amongst officers at the scene, but his actions did not rise to the level of abuse because neither BOPC nor the Detroit Police Department have policies that dictate whether or how police commissioners can engage in active police matters.  🔗 More details regarding the investigation can be located in the full report here: drive.google.com/file/d/10e_… #GoodGovernment #Detroit #Accountability
