A few highlights from what he shared:
• AI must be viewed and controlled as a natural resource. India must break the fragmentation seen across data and model levels globally.
• We have a shared responsibility to provide Foundational Models for everyone. As a nation catching up, we must remain open while ensuring the right capital and governance are in place.
• We look for founders who solve a large enough problem and possess the conviction and passion to build new categories.
• We back leaders dedicated to doing the right thing for the business and model, ideally supported by a strong team and favorable market tailwinds.
• This is a long journey. We must dream together, build deep, capable models that serve all, and be patient.

For AI to truly serve Indian use cases—a diverse country with its own data, numerous languages, and nuances—“we must have the capability to train models from scratch and build that foundational strength within the country,” says @nakulkundra84, Co-founder, @DevnagriAI .
At #TechSparks2025, Kundra reiterates that any AI model meant to create real impact in India needs to understand the country’s cultural context and variation.
He adds, “Without that, the models will function, but they won’t truly resonate with or benefit Indian users.”
