Disappointing to learn that all of Devon will be in Tier 2 of the new covid restrictions, I'm especially worried for the impact on hospitality as a result Hopefully if everyone sticks to the rules we can be out of tier 2 in a few weeks

Last chance for Devon's Tory MPs to back our farmers and vote for Lords amendments to Agri Bill on Wednesday. Don't sacrifice their futures for a trade deal with the US! Our letter to all 10 of Devon's Tories: #AgricultureBill @NFUtweets #BackBritishFarming

Plymouth City Council cabinet member @Jon2aylor says the idea that councils already have the money to fund free school meals is "a load of rubbish". The Government says local authorities should use a £63m fund allocated in the summer.

The @UKChange petition calling for #Saxby to resign has now had 5,000 signatures. That’s as many as the entire #Labour vote (5,097) and almost 10% (9%) of the turnout at the 2019 General Election in #NorthDevon. North Devon @LibDems are calling in the #Tory MP to resign.

BREAKING: A petition calling for Selaine Saxby MP (North Devon) to resign has now reached 3,000 signatures. It follows her remarks mocking local eateries who have stepped up to provide free school meals, saying she hopes they won’t be seeking any further government support.

I honestly don't understand how someone could look at the proposal to ensure children can have meals and saying nope not for me Truly shocking
Not surprising to see nearly all Devon's Tory MPs voted not to extend free school meals to hungry children during the pandemic winter. Well done @AnneMarieMorris for showing some conscience and supporting the motion prompted by @MarcusRashford's campaign. @neil_parish didn't vote
Tonight’s immigration bill votes were asking for just a little compassion. Yet Tory rank & file loyally voted DOWN plans to *wait for it*: 🧒🏻 help child refugees left on own 🔐 stop locking people up indefinitely & 📝 give EU citizens piece of paper to prove their settled status

This just seems a bit wrong, most universities stop teaching some time before 22 Dec, if you're going to make all students leave on one day why make it after the end of most uni terms? And if this is the plan, why did they send students back to begin with

As a vet I'm bitterly disappointed Tory MPs voted against protecting #AnimalWelfare in future trade deals. Further confirmation that Tory promises are not worth the manifesto they're written in. Animals, consumers, farmers and the environment will all suffer. #AgricultureBill
On Monday, Conservative MPs must stand by their election promises to protect our animal welfare standards and support British farmers in trade deals. @LibDems MPs and @BritishSave are working to prevent low welfare imports such as chlorinated chicken and hormone treated beef.

Tonight I voted against the #10pmCurfew tonight. Govt refused to allow MPs to amend it to make it safer4public and better 4business despite SAGE saying it made marginal impact on virus. Now we need action that will actually make a difference,& proper support for businesses.
