With due respect Sir, unless you're in some selective core fields and in the service industry for both software products and services, I don't see the incentive.
Let's take aerospace for example. One of my good buddies started Sarla Aviation. A company that wants to bring technology to reduce traffic affordably.
And they, have been somewhat successful so far. But that's one story
I know 99 others where product ideas are either shut down, shunned upon and are not invested in at all.
Build in India is selective, and not supported very well on the roots. And I feel it's a cultural problem too. People don't trust, they don't see the vision. They sit in a room, take 2 minutes to decide a product won't work.
And I haven't even gotten to the major part. Job offer incentives in these said core industries such as semiconductor manufacturing and aerospace and electric motors are absolutely horrendous, for the lack of a better way to put it. People are getting 4-8 LPA in top cities.
On the contrary, here if you do things the right way, you start in high 5 and low 6 figures. And, the benefits are quite nice. And, the incentive to grow is there. And.. more importantly, there is an engineering satisfaction
If you can, influence and make these changes, Sir. Until then, I'm sorry but a ton of people like me will not move back to India.
Indians have made a major contribution to America's technological prowess. Yet, a big part of America no longer wants us.
Indians who are on a visa in the US face the painful prospect of uprooting the life you have built with hard work.
Let this be the birth pains of a bold new future.
Come back, let's build India ๐

Ramayana Part 1 Review: 4/5
Part 1 starts off in an interesting manner. Not how I expected, as it focuses the first fourth of the film purely on the antagonist of the movie. The pace is quite lovely, and the screenplay hits the right and high moments that we are all familiar with.
There is definitely some cinematic liberty here, but the actors score with that liberty. Yash is the hero of this part. He gets meaty screen time and he scores with his range. I was worried he'd stick with stoicism again but he doesn't.
Sai Pallavi in her time, does her role quite well. Ranbir, was not as bad I expected. There are some sequences where it doesn't click that he is Ram, but there are big portions where it does click.
Visually the movie looks absolutely stunning. There are extremely minor things that people will pick on, but the world, the atmosphere, the CG work is top notch.
I can see some of Hans Zimmer's impact. The BGM elevation works in a lot of places, and he wasn't a bad addition. As for the songs, they work with good intentions
We know the story, but splitting it into 2 parts and the way this part was written, I have to give kudos to the creators. The only thing that didn't work for me are casting of Mandothari and Surpanaka.
Go and watch it, it's worth, absolutely worth it. ๐
When someone says you need to beat your wife to actually be in a passionate relationship (and I fucking mean you @imvangasandeep), I'm not taking your opinions seriously.
Because, words do affect people. And you're a plethora of a bunch of horrible takes.
To be liked by @hemanthrao11 , resposted by @karthiksubbaraj and now quoted by @pawanfilms.
At this point, @your_niaaaa is a household name on X if you want to actually watch good movies and get opinions on it. ๐ ๐
It is honestly disappointing that someone who made films like Lucia and U Turn hasnt directed a Kannada film in all these years. Even more disappointing that producers aren't lining up to back a filmmaker like Pawan Kumar
Dvitva getting dropped due to Puneeth Anna's demise was the most unfortunate thing, it would have changed the course of star movies in kannada. I hope he overcomes that setback and gives us something soon. I see he's videos about enjoying his farming & everything, but as a cinephile, I really miss seeing him make films.
I was worried about the VfX, especially with the initial BTS and teaser. I'd say after watching #Ramayana, it's quite flawless. Someone would have to dig frame by frame to find maybe very minor faults.

The backstory portions of Raavana works so well. The establishment of how he becomes immortal and the stories that go with it are quite fresh. I think this is intentional from the creators and the highlight of the movie

There are some minuses. For example Gugan, Sabari, and the story of Agalya where she is a stone, are all skipped. Lakshman in cases is used for some relief on the stakes, which doesn't work half the time. And people who expect Sai Pallavi to have a meaty role, might not be satisfied as she gets limited after a point.
