3000 producers making 10-12k a month. Or 5000 making 6-7k.
Seems real. Do you include publishing payouts though?
The collaboration and sales on @BeatStars are hitting record numbers in 2024. My goal of hitting $400 million paid out to creators this year is still a possibility. We have so many huge improvements and game changing products coming out this year that will accelerate this goal. I’m back in my bag.
Some @BeatStars Top Charts numbers for those who’s curious. Pretty impressive when you look at this. 28 producers holding top 50 ranks. #3 by number of beats in Chart — actually selling songs instead of beats and got enough sales to hit top 100. Bendji looking strong 7/50 👏
And you get endless possibilities like email marketing automation, upsells, abandoned cart recovery and many more. Not to mention essentials like Apple Pay and other express checkouts via Stripe. The only downside — sales won’t get you higher in BS top chart. Need traffic.
WooCommerce + $12/m hosting + Sonaar music plugin / theme (pretty much replica of BeatStars player) + stripe, crypto or whatever you want.
Should be somewhere around $500 including coder to put everything together. Or twice as cheat if you’re ready to do it on your own.
is there anybody looking to get new beats’ previews? Released like 400+ new beats since I last dropped previews here on X… not a big deal for me getting back to consistent posting here as long as it makes sense for anybody out here lol
Didn’t know SouljaBoy is still in the game and using our beats. Ok ok

Oh ok. So now the fees been added to the total price, PayPal commission is up a bit and taxes too. It’s weird
And that’s good! Much respect to the @BeatStars team working hard on updating the platform.
Can’t wait for BS pay to roll out. And also hope they allocate resources for more Pro features development to turn widgets and players into WP /Shopify compatible plugins or themes.
And yeah you can clearly see the Blue Wallet (funds from your sales available for withdrawal) in the New BS Studio app.
It’s been used for publishing and distribution payouts. Soon it’s gonna be used for all beat sales. Well, at least the Marketplace ones.
Screen that
the PayPal icon on the sales list has disappeared in Studio App. Indicating blue wallet instead.
Guess what? All your sales will come to the BS wallet soon. Accepting cards, PayPal, express checkouts like Apple / Google pay. BeatStars Pay is coming baby🔥
what’s good about that?
Users will get used to the Service Fee and we eventually are going to see BeatStars Pay. The Fee is needed to cover the costs — credit cards and all kind of payments to be accepted and processed by BS. And producers obviously won’t get it as a tip ⤵️
the good thing though, that it’s not how it was supposed to work.
I guess BeatStars is testing rn. To see how the fee’s addition effect the sales.
Producers are cool with it (for now), as you obviously get 12% tips. But how the buyers feel about that? Will see ⤵️
… here’s why.
1️⃣ Nothing been said, but we do have a 12% commission aka service fee now on all Marketplace sales. As for now it goes straight to the seller. Even though a disclaimer at checkout says it’s meant to “maintaining and enhancing the platform”
Honestly, I’ve been waiting for BeatStars Pay. The obvious way all marketplaces improve both buyers’ and sellers’ experience and sales.
They removed Stripe as an option, promising more convenient alternative after Aug 15th. And I bet we’re going to see BS pay very soon.
A bit disappointed by yesterdays BeatStars update/announce. Nothing really game changing in terms of sales, conversions and communication with customers.
I get it though and can see they focus more on attracting new producers instead.
BUT. There’s a good news 🧵
