Since France, Bharti and the UK jointly bought a 51% stake, and Eutelsat is still partially lacking funding for the future, I suspect the whole idea is for an EU shell company to acquire all of Eutelsat in the near future. Just speculation, though.

@EutelsatGroup Eutelsat EV/EBITDA 2027: 2,7 2028: 2,4 Apparently, it’s not the low valuation that’s making people flee the stock, IT IS the CAPEX. Why don’t they divest the GEO legacy business and focus purely on LEO? I mean, obviously GEO wasnt the gold mine so far. #spacex

Supporters of Starlink in India should know that Bharti-backed Eutelsat OneWeb and Reliance Jio’s satellite venture have also received key permissions. US will never allow OneWeb or Jio to operate in US so why should we allow them ?

France has announced €13 billion in additional institutional investor funding under the third phase of its Tibi initiative, aimed at financing French and European technology companies. The new phase targets €15 billion by 2030, bringing total funding mobilized under the initiative since 2020 to nearly €31 billion. Half of the investments under the new phase will be directed toward deeptech companies. New participants include mutual insurer Carac, rail operator SNCF, Paris transport group RATP, defense groups Naval Group and MBDA, and satellite operator Eutelsat. The initiative is designed to support French IPOs, help small and mid-sized firms scale up while remaining anchored in Europe, and build pan-European funds capable of financing larger funding rounds. The announcement was made during the VivaTech conference in Paris. #France #Tech #DeepTech #Europe #Investment
