I agree, please keep sticking to your guns, call everyone to the right of Mao a "fascist" and everyone who doesn't agree with Hamas a "Zionist." It's good for us on the right, I never have to worry that a Venezuela will happen to us as long as people like you are in the left
In the Philippines, we are asked to sacrifice our progressive and left-wing stances and even consider Marcos Jr. as a 'lesser evil' for the sake of winning the 2028 elections. I hope people here realize that unity without principle is bound to fail, EVERY TIME.

"the goal should be to present an alternative, a progessive or even radical vision of governance." -guy whose favorite system was tried repeatedly, failed repeatedly, then peacefully collapsed under the weight of its own contradictions 40 years ago
i dont think theres anything to be gained by harkening back to a set of rhetoric that has proven itself as fundamentally failed. what is to be gained in stagnated rhetoric? the goal should be to present an alternative, a progessive or even radical vision of governance.

I've been reading analyses on what the Lula campaign did to win. 1. Cheat
I've been reading analyses on what the Lula campaign did in the last three weeks to win. One of the most effective things they did was to convince people who are already on Lula's side to actually go out and vote. Resulted in a massive voter turn out. Tapos dito, "elections do not change things" ang messaging ng ibang grupo. Lol.

If you want concrete examples of this, just look at the need for 2+ valid IDs, notarized multiple hard copies, and physical signatures. All of these are ostensibly anti-fraud, and therefore anti-corruption, measures but they don't prevent corruption while being very inconvenient
Replying to @DictatorClass
Why does this matter? Because the measures we impose to prevent corruption (endless checks and balances, spending rules, audit rules, etc.) end up slowing everything down without preventing much corruption. This is why it takes so many permits and signatures to do anything here

I think most people would be fine with eliminating these bureaucratic requirements even if it resulted in a little more fraud and corruption

>Kung alam nyo ang Martial Law, then imagine na toned down version nun at gawin mong "progressive-socialist". Ganun si nakaka-Lula This line of attack won't work, leftists already know that and that's exactly what they want. Never argue with the left on their stated preferences
Para dun sa mga kababayang Pinoy, batang utouto ngayon, at yung isang senadora natin gustong gusto kay nakaka-Lula. Kung alam nyo ang Martial Law, then imagine na toned down version nun at gawin mong "progressive-socialist". Ganun si nakaka-Lula Nagbabalak na ang gagu to make a law to jail anyone who criticizes him. Whether IRL or in social media. So, calling him names here will technically land me in a Brazilian prison. Pero hindi po, our Constitution prevents people from doing 20 year terms, Marcos Sr. 2.0, and whatnot. And yes the present system is still not perfect, totoo na may deep corruption sa Philippine government, pero at least recently pro-active yung mga nasa positions of power, especially yung gabinete ni Marcos Jr. And no, hindi sila nagpapa-arresto ng mga kritiko nila, hindi kagaya ng isa dyan na nag attempt to jail Philip Lustre.

I don't think anyone expected Brazil to be the paragon of fair elections but the personal lawyer of one of the candidates intervening to halt the vote count and re-open voting in areas only friendly to said candidate is a level of election rigging that is genuinely astounding. Lula clearly believes the United States will do nothing to prevent his illegal Marxist-Communist takeover of Brazil. @PeteHegseth you must prove him wrong.

Brazil dodged a bullet this night! >Stock market crashes 20~% >Real Dollar value -10~% >Lula promises to regulate STRONGLY social media >Lula promises to persecute political opponents Horay we defeated fascism.
In my book Kakistocracy, I note that Brazil locking up Bolsonaro after he attempted a coup put its democracy on a healthier course. Compare to America, where the prosecution took too long. Brazil dodged a bullet tonight. You can be right-wing! Stop trying to be authoritarians.

>Kamala Harris did not allow progressive issues to dictate her campaign Bro she couldn't even deny the "Kamala wants taxpayer money to fund prisoners' sex changes" accusation, and that ad alone allegedly moved 2-3% towards Trump especially among blacks
Kamala Harris did not allow progressive issues to dictate her campaign and leaned to soft conservatives… lost badly Lula’s concessions came when elected but he let leftist ideologies define his campaign.. he defeated western elites So masama parin ba ang maging purist?

For those who don't know: youtube.com/shorts/VVU7pYq3W… You people just see what you want to see, Kamala lost because she was the most leftist presidential candidate ever and Americans wanted none of it so they opted to vote for a literal felon

Just based on firsthand experience working in all three branches of government, when the state fucks up probably 80-90% of the time it's due to stupidity and incompetence, not evil. But people here are determined to address evil instead of incompetence, which leads to bad policy
As someone who grew up close to power in the rural provinces oftentimes what fucks up projects here isn’t even corruption at all. It’s a case of ridiculous levels of penny pincching, thinking indirect benefits are “scams and lies” & horrendous lack of strategy (1/n)

Don't take it from me, take it from "Triple H" Hoppe himself. We have the worst of both worlds: political dynasties that have to dance like monkeys and dole out wealth every three years for the masses, which further incentivizes rapaciousness and stealing as quickly as possible
I actually wonder if our 6 years fixed Presidential term combined with the political culture of political parties not publicly powerful or binding, sa politics lang, has created this rush for the presidents and politicians to just amassed wealth from our government as long as 1/

We are witnessing a full-on coup d'état in Brazil. Lula must meet the same fate as Nicolás Maduro.

This is what should happen, democracy is fake and retarded anyway, and leftism is inherently illegitimate so anything that allows it to stay in power is illegitimate. Will never happen though
We can just tell the Brazilian army they don’t need to recognize the election results. Or at least, can suspend and investigate. This is the opposite of imperialism. Yanqui go home. We trust Brazil to govern itself. As JQ Adams put it: the government de facto is de jure for us

Again, the left ACTUALLY believes in something and is willing to fight at all costs for it, even if the something they believe in is that retarded cancerous religion from the 1800s created by the single most poisonous goblin to ever exist
🚨Just in: Lula da Silva wins Brazil's Presidential election, defeating Flavio Bolsonaro

The Supreme Court of Brazil is stealing this election for Lula. The @CIA must intervene immediately to restore democracy to the hemisphere.

Justice Cristiano Zanin (Lula's former lawyer) extended the presidential runoff voting from 5pm to 7pm today. And somehow votes have massively increased for Lula. Extending voting is completely unprecedented since electronic voting began in 1994 in Brazil. They're treating to steal this election.
MAJOR FLIP: Lula is now favored in the Brazil Presidential election

If you receive welfare, you shouldn’t get to vote because you'd be a single-issue voter on maintaining and increasing your welfare, plus voting for any party that promises to do this.

The Filipino thieving political class are so fucking retarded that they do not realize it actually is in their best interests to develop the fucking country
"Kung walang korap, walang mahirap" is catchy but it's just not true. Officials in other countries (e.g. China, Korea, Eastern Europe) are corrupt as fuck but their countries developed anyway, because they understood that more wealth = more money to steal
