If someone occasionally slides into your DMs, maybe once or twice every one to three months, just to say “Hello” before disappearing again, don't be too quick to dismiss them.
They might have feelings for you but genuinely don't know how to express them or go about it.
Look out for people like that too. Sometimes, there's more behind that simple “Hello” than you realise. ♥️

Not everyone will believe in you,
Not everyone will support your dream, some people will tell you No when you desperately want to hear YES.
But listen carefully, their decision does not determine your destiny.

🚨 MANCHESTER UNITED MANAGERIAL UPDATE: FOUR CANDIDATES TO WATCH! 👀🔴
According to @MsiDouglas, Antonio Conte, Eddie Howe, Kieran McKenna and Fabian Hürzeler are among the names linked with Manchester United as speculation over the club’s managerial future continues.
🔴 ANTONIO CONTE: The experienced Italian is reportedly keen on the opportunity to manage United. With Premier League and Serie A titles on his CV, Conte brings a proven winning mentality. However, his demanding personality and confrontational approach could present challenges within United’s current structure.
🔴 EDDIE HOWE: The former Newcastle United manager is emerging as a leading contender. He guided Newcastle to Carabao Cup glory in 2025 and Champions League qualification. His Premier League experience and pressing philosophy make him an attractive option, although his willingness to accept the role may depend on the club’s long-term project and his influence over recruitment.
🔴 KIERAN McKENNA: The former Ipswich Town boss is another name reportedly under consideration. Known for his tactical organisation, progressive football and data-informed approach, McKenna could represent a longer-term project. However, the scale of Manchester United’s expectations would be a significant test.
🔴 FABIAN HÜRZELER: Brighton’s young head coach is also reportedly on United’s radar. His modern tactical approach, emphasis on pressing and ability to develop players make him an intriguing candidate. However, persuading Brighton to part with their manager could prove difficult.
👀 THE BIG QUESTION: Who would be the best fit to rebuild Manchester United, restore consistency and challenge for major trophies?
Would you choose Conte’s winning experience, Howe’s Premier League pedigree, McKenna’s tactical approach or Hürzeler’s modern football philosophy?

In 1868, Japan began a major transformation known as the Meiji Restoration.
The country restructured its government, expanded modern education, developed industries, and adopted selected technologies and institutions from abroad.
Within decades, Japan had become a major industrial and military power.
But the transformation also involved conflict, inequality, and imperial expansion. History is rarely a perfect success story.
Still, one lesson stands out:
You can learn from other countries without blindly copying everything they do.
A nation can study foreign technology, improve its education system, develop local industries, and adapt useful ideas to its own circumstances.
For African countries, the question is not whether we should learn from the rest of the world. We already do.
The real question is whether we can turn that knowledge into locally developed solutions, productive businesses, better institutions, and opportunities for our people.
Progress requires more than importing finished products. It also requires developing the skills to design, manufacture, maintain, and improve them.
What is one industry you believe African countries should prioritise building locally?
