EA's new Saudi Arabian owners paid BioWare a visit to talk about Mass Effect 4. It probably went exactly like this.

A former BioWare employee claims the studio was asked to remove a flag from a presentation for the canceled Mass Effect Universe project because it looked too much like the LGBTQIA+ flag.
The employee said the new management wasn’t convinced by the project:
“I think the video proposals we presented to the new management weren’t convincing.”
They also said BioWare being known for inclusive storytelling “didn’t help to dispel the skepticism.”
One specific example involved a flag in a presentation video. The team was asked to remove it because it was:
“looking too much like the LGBTQIA+ flag”
The reason given was reportedly:
“not to offend.”
This is beyond pathetic, but let's not forget that these aren't fans, they're activists.
Mass Effect fans have bought a #SaveMassEffect billboard in Times Square after EA shut down BioWare last week, but the fight to save the sci-fi RPG franchise isn't stopping there. bit.ly/3U30SJr
Hey @discord Quit being a bunch of fucking retards.
Discord is about to put your public messages on Google
Discord will start making messages from Discoverable public servers searchable on Google and other search engines from mid-December.
The feature is ON by default in most regions, but you can opt out:
User Settings → Data & Privacy → turn off “Show my message content from Discoverable channels on web pages.”
In the EU, UK, Canada, Brazil, Australia and South Korea, it will be OFF by default.
Private servers, DMs and group DMs are not included. Usernames and avatars won’t appear alongside indexed messages.
And he is right. This is common sense. Gamers don't buy games to be pandered to or to support a political ideology.
The reason game studios have been getting shutdowns and why studios experience layoffs is because activism wastes money and never makes it.

And that is why woke ideology is collapsing. DEI and similar frameworks are rooted in Marxist ideas that are inherently self-destructive. They erode whatever they influence—art, film, games, and entertainment included...by prioritizing ideology over quality, audience appeal, and creative freedom.
The executives who championed these policies rarely faced the long-term consequences; they collected their payouts and moved on to the next company or project, leaving the damage behind. Given how consistently these approaches harm the organizations that adopt them, stronger accountability...Until this kind of influence is made illegal, or companies lose the incentive to push it on everyone, nothing is going to change.
Anyone who know EA's history should know this already. Clearly the Bioware tourists didn't get that memo.
A former Mass Effect dev says fans probably shouldn’t expect EA to sell the cancelled Mass Effect project to another studio.
Romain Toutain, who worked as Mass Effect’s franchise technical director at BioWare, was asked whether EA could sell the project and let another studio finish it.
His answer: “EA never actually sells anything. They just shut things down and sit on their licenses.”
Meanwhile, a petition to save Mass Effect has already passed 200,000 signatures
Well, looks like it's for Overwatch and not the other way around. RIP.
Having a Tracer and Widowmaker skins in Stellar Blade would've been better than this.
As if the disaster of this show couldn't get worse. Lol
Avatar: Seven Havens officially recasts Korra’s voice actor.
Cia Court shares that she succeeds Janet Varney, who stepped away from the role in 2022.
“I guess the cat monkey's out of the bag! Yes, you heard me as Korra in Avatar Seven Havens! But is she really as bad as people think she is? 🤔”
(Source: @CiaCourtVO)
It's hilarious these people being total tourists thinking there is something to save with Mass Effect. Considering how bad Andromeda is, Mass Effect hasn't been good since 2012. In case math isn't your forte, that was 14 years ago.
BOYCOTT @EA
DON'T BUY THEIR GAMES
DON'T PLAY THEIR GAMES
WE DEMAND ANSWERS AND WE DEMAND SAVING MASS EFFECT 5
#MassEffect #SaveMassEffect
HELP ME START TRENDING #BOYCOTTEA
STOP KILLING VIDEOGAMES
And to think people say Bioware wasn't pushing political agendas down our throats. Politicians all of a sudden want to help a studio? I think of various reasons why.
The leader of Canada's New Democratic Party took to social media to call for federal support to help BioWare developers buy the studio from EA and run it themselves. bit.ly/4BnwpX3
These same people are blaming EA for self-inflicted damage and closure of Bioware.
These same people also think Bioware should continue despite having 3 financial failures not making back the production cost.
Mass Effect fans are calling for a boycott of all EA products and services in protest of the company closing down BioWare and canceling the next Mass Effect game. bit.ly/4siIubW
