Season over
Cubs give up Jefferson Rojas and Mo Baller for 1.1 innings of meaningless relief and 1 PA from Tyrone Taylor. Jed and Carter and Craig deserve to lose their jobs.
Good: PCA is Griffey 2.0 and Steele/Cade/Ben all come back next year with huge payroll.
Bad: lockout leveraged against a Wrigley All Star weekend that will undoubtedly be used to ruin local, logical discourse around CBA news. So that’s going to suck balls
Good: we can now close the book on the most frustrating good Cubs team of our lives

Cubs have been in playoffs 11 times in my lifetime and this year is by far the lowest expectations I had.
Wasn’t really even excited about this series. We all knew this was coming.

You’re not a serious organization Matthew Boyd is starting game one of the playoffs. Didn’t we trade for Gausman and Holmes for this specific reason??? Why isn’t either one starting tonight? Holmes on 3 days rest or a rested Gausman are much better options. #cubs

Week 1 of the NFL will consist of the following:
The Packers beat the vikings, lead by 4 TDs by Jordan Love.
The Bears get upset by Bryce Young and the Panthers revamped defense, the Bears defense lets up 30.
The Saints upset the Lions. A high scoring game ends with Goff throwing an INT to lose the game.
The Packers will be the only NFC North team with an undefeated record after week 1.

Remarkable statistic:

Love the mentions in this…
We’ve acquired two-time All-Star infielder Javier Báez, RHP Trevor Williams and cash considerations from Chicago (NL) in exchange for minor league outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. bit.ly/2V7pvG7
