Had my 2nd double header in the Perfect Game Fall League. I went 2-4 on the day with a 2 run opposite field HR to right center.

"Deeds, not words."
Don't tell me you want to play D1 baseball and then show up 25% of the time.
The kids who make it? They fall in love with the process of getting there - not the dream.

The biggest lie in youth baseball: the games you win now will mean something later.
They won't.
You can win tons of games on 60' fields while ignoring the skills players need for 90'.
The # of your kids who don't get cut day 1 of HS tryouts is a scoreboard that matters.

There are 5 ways to get out as a batter in baseball/softball. There are 15 ways to have a productive/successful at bat. Stop dwelling on outcomes. Stop dwelling on the negative. You have 3x the chances of having a productive at bat than an unproductive at bat.
This kid is just getting started! Has a high ceiling! He is looking to play in college, so if you need numbers and are starting to look for players, let me know or contact him.

Just listened to an impactful talk by Deven Morgan, Director of Driveline Youth Academy, and it really resonated with me! 🎤⚾️ He emphasized the critical importance of holding players accountable. Here are some key takeaways:
💪🏾 Hard Work Gives You Honesty: The effort you put in reflects your true commitment. Are you genuinely dedicated to your goals?
🤔 Do They Really Want It?: It’s not just about words. Are players saying they want success, or are they showing it through their actions?
This message serves as a powerful reminder for all athletes and coaches alike to evaluate commitment levels and take accountability seriously.

Whole thread by @rchealy25 is nails, but this sums up youth baseball in a nutshell.
The question is when are parents going to listen and adjust?

This is the box score from a Juniors Little League game! 13-14 year olds…39 combined runs on 7 combined hits…40 walks total between the two pitching staffs…you wanna know what’s killing Little League…THIS!!!
Parents are even saying it’s unwatchable and it’s their kids!!! 🤮
Having a good attitude, hustling, and being a good teammate are things that take absolutely ZERO TALENT!
I don’t care how good you think you are…do those things!
Definitely need one of these in every baseball facility! 😂😂😂
So much fun! Throwing the equivalent of a @DrivelineBB @DrivelineYouth Grey PlyoCare Ball!
I made it up to 85 mph… my 11 year old made it up to 66 mph.
