I'd heard there was a big Spiritualist movement during the 19th century, and I knew that Joseph Smith wasn't alone in all of this. But this goes way beyond what I knew.
When you also start to see similar claims going on at the same time, it says a great deal about it all, doesn't it?
I got blocked for this?
Can some LDS folks explain to me what happened here?
I think he may have felt like his faith in Mormonism was slipping.
Joseph Smith is a prophet
And Richard Adams is a prophet.
And Pearl Lenore Curran is a prophetess
And Jane Roberts is a prophetess
And John Murray Spear is a prophet.
And Andrew Jackson Davis is a prophet.
And William Stainton Moses is a prophet
And Hélène Smith is a prophetess
So now what do we do?

@DanielProudfoot, I saw your comment. We can have that discussion if you want.
Joseph Smith isn’t the only one to claim divine authority in his time.
We should discuss John M Spear. He’s super cool.
But I understand that you googled what you said and realized it wasn’t true.
It’s very spiritually filling to witness Christians come together and speak in unity. God is good! I appreciate the brothers in Christ that I have on 𝕏!

I was that fool, saying "I know the church is true" 😔
“Why would God allow people to be created and never hear the gospel?”
“Sure: for His glory”
- John MacArthur, Q&A
One thing that bothers me about a lot of exmos is that they always brag about their sin. Like excessively.
“I’m finally free!”
Brother, you are trading slavery from false doctrines to slavery with pleasure and indulgence.
I wish you’d become Christian.
He was doxxed and lost his job for being… Mormon…. In Utah… 😂 yeah… I bet

He was famously doxxed and lost his job due to posting biblical truths unpopular with his former HR department.
He was truly persecuted for Christ's sake.
