Luther Burden 39th overall pick by the Bears, the Bills desperately needed a WR.
The Bills take Hairston late round 1 (as of now yikes) then trade to 41 to also the Bears, giving up our extra 3 to go get TJ Sanders (also as of now yikes).
Follow up the next year by using their 1st selection on a DE that is buried on the depth chart & set up to not be able to have substantial playing time year 1 or 2.

This is super disappointing, especially from a team captain. I mentioned it on the All-22 Review Pod, but Franklin had his best game of the season on special teams, and now this puts a damper on it.
Sam Franklin is also tied for the league lead with 3 special teams penalties, including an egregious, unnecessary facemask penalty.
Embarrassing stuff to have multiple players suspended for spitting at opponents.

This is the issue. Brandon Beane gives mediocre players decent paydays, and it handicaps the rest of the roster.

Brandon Beane is paying Matt Milano, Taron Johnson and Joey Bosa $27.7M in dead cap.
Beane blames it on paying Josh, but the reality is he’s not good at managing the cap.
Well Brock Purdys cap hit would be about 23 million dollars compared to Josh’s 44 million.
So that would give us an additional $21 million to spend.
That probably would improve our defense and give you guys the coveted “talented roster”.
Not sure about you but I’d rather have Josh and the current supporting cast and hope the Defense can adjust to the scheme change.
