Both are unfixable if you're trying to get a sonically correct mix, music that's been squashed like a pumpkin looses it's transients and depth and becomes an over processed war of attrition, poorly recorded vocals can be re-amped and ran through a neve channel, but they are what they inherently are, poorly recorded vocals and a great mix starts with a great recording - Great questions my friend🤘🎸🎼Rock On!!!

Every last syllable my friend...

Now over 26+ years Mixing & Mastering music!!! I still have some of the most seasoned ears in the industry!!! Stop hiring your homie and come hire a Pro!!!

As I'm wrapping up the Mixing & Mastering for my new Hip-Hop Album, I'm forced to reflect on my Great friend & Legendary Emcee "Chino XL" who passed away 2 summers ago, his cause of death wasn't announced when it happenned & i'm just learning through the fake news that he passed from suicide. It breaks my heart because life is soo precious and Chino was a precious Soul. It wasn't always about music, we talked about the kids, joked on tight ass jeans/jeggings & sometimes we even had our political arguments/disagreements, but all in all that was my big brother, it's hard to understand the pain a man goes through especially as a father, husband, mentor, provider and public figure. Chino did an interview some years back & was asked was there any Emcee in the industry that he admired. He said Blaq Poet, well it's just by Chance I got Chino XL & Blaq on a record together on my new Album!!! Rest in Paradise to all the loved ones we've lost, cherrish life, make love, less hate. Here is the unofficial track-listing for the album. Peace🕊️ All Production By E. Smitty 1. Em-Lo - Reminisce 2. Craig G - Crushed 3. E. Smitty - City Lights 4. Da Gift - Miss Me When I'm Gone 5. Tonight I want everyone to think about whatever it is you want out of life, imagine the outcome as it's already done, then thank God, Jehovah, the Universe, and thank yourself, believe that it's done 👍✅👍✅
