Meet Coach Drew Malone (@CoachMalone816) – WR coach at Liberty North HS (@LNEagleFootball). This is his 3rd year leading the receivers at LN and his fifth year coaching overall. Giving back matters deeply to him because of something his brother once said: “Be what these kids need. Not what they want.” Being a War Eagle stands for hard work, dedication, loyalty, and family. Those values drive him every day. His mission is centered on self-success. He can lead athletes to the water, but they have to choose to drink. He holds them accountable with one clear goal: help each one become better than he ever was, both as a man and as an athlete. Coaching his girls’ flag football team last year taught him real patience. This year his 7v7 squad, 816Elite, won their first tournament ever. The group has a strong mix of talent and plays with real energy. Coaches, this is a team worth checking out. He also speaks highly of KC Varsity Combines (@Varsitycombine1), calling it a great platform that puts high school athletes in front of college coaches and creates real recruiting opportunities. Longer interview with Coach Malone is attached – full conversation covering his mindset, approach, and vision for developing young players.
