The Democratic Party, was at its height of its political power when the political ideology of a candidate matched their geographical background rather than the parties orthodoxy. We need a broad spectrum of Democrats from southern states, coastal states, and Midwestern states — because that’s what America is: diverse and progressive. Progressive doesn’t just mean left.
