What he forgot to mention is that Morpho can charge fees at the market level, allowing it to capture the economic value created by curators without bearing the cost of risk management.
This means markets are neither neutral nor ownerless. Curators invest in building liquidity and managing risk, but Morpho retains the ability to extract a share of the revenue, compressing curator margins and accelerating competition toward zero profitability.
This creates a fundamental misalignment: either Morpho monetizes and competes for the economics generated by curators, or it doesn't and must sustain its business through other revenue sources once incentives run out.
Curators should own their market economics and capture fees from both lending and borrowing. Otherwise, they're building businesses on infrastructure that can tax away their margins. Full stop.
This is why Paul is spooked about Aave V4.
Two very unique aspects of @Morpho's market & vault curation design that we dont talk about much:
1. Own your vault. When you own a Morpho Vault, the business belongs to you, not Morpho. You decide how it operates and responsibilities are delegated. Morpho has no special admin rights to take over your vault or revoke your ownership.
2. Neutral markets aggregate liquidity. No party can own the underlying markets so even users or businesses with competing interests can share the same markets. If markets were owned, it would lead to competition between markets and cause liquidity fragmentation
$INFER $imdUSD Infer Protocol — a new financial layer for the agent economy $IMD
There have been some loud posts on CT about our agents finally making us money. I even reposted one.
ty, His Dudeness:

And yes, they are. Especially the agents that helped build a new protocol: imdUSD
nitter.gq/imdusd
imdusd.com/
But where does the money come from? Isn’t it just a stablecoin?
Let me break it down for you.
First, there’s $imdUSD. It has two main use cases:
a) Payments within the agent economy. We need a more predictable unit of account since $IMD is volatile.
b) Borrowing against collateral. You believe in IMD long-term but need cash? Instead of selling part of your position, you can borrow imdUSD against your collateral. Of course, there are risks, including liquidation.
Then there’s $INFER — the token tied to the economics of Infer Protocol itself.
You don’t need it to pay for jobs or borrow imdUSD. Its purpose is to benefit from the protocol’s economic activity.
According to brajon, the dev, fees flow into the Treasury, and protocol revenue is meant to support staking.
So the idea is:
People borrow → the protocol collects fees → revenue flows into the Treasury → the Treasury buys $INFER → the tokens are gradually distributed to stakers through sINFER.
See the Ponzi-like mechanic here? 👀
The real question is whether the protocol can generate sustainable revenue. Buybacks don’t happen by magic.
so the bullish case is simple:
imdUSD gets real usage → more loans, swaps and fees → more revenue for the Treasury → more $INFER buybacks → more INFER distributed to stakers.
The bearish case is even simpler:
Nobody really uses imdUSD → fees stay low → buybacks stay small → $INFER is left as just another ecosystem token with limited utility.

🚨🚨🚨 Chainlink CRE fees may be much higher than we initially estimated 🚨🚨🚨
👀 We were assuming that there's only 1 orchestration fee in this DTCC transaction, but it looks like there's actually 4 separate orchestration fees, plus a CCIP fee too 👀
𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝟓 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 🔥🔥🔥
The CRE orchestration fee isn't charged once per transaction. It's charged on every workflow step a user signs (see attached images - blurry because they're screenshots from the live demo).
In the DTCC demo at Sibos, every wallet signature shows "Orchestration fee 0.01 LINK":
13:30 Create financing contract
14:48 Deposit $10m tUSD
17:22 Request $5m loan against MSFT
29:44 Repay loan
That's 4 separate Orchestration fees, paid in LINK.
On top of that there's a separate CCIP fee (20:15) for bridging the collateral to the DTCC AppChain.
Repo + securities lending is $20T+ a day.
Even a tiny share, with multiple LINK fees per transaction, adds up fast.
The scaling is clear: more steps in a workflow means more fees.

DTCC AND CHAINLINK AT SIBOS 2026
DTCC's Dan Doney and @SergeyNazarov presented how @The_DTCC is collaborating with Chainlink to advance 24/7 collateral management.
DTCC's Collateral AppChain provides shared infrastructure near real-time collateral management across financial markets and blockchains.
“The problem being solved is the fragmentation of data, how everybody connects to move collateral and settle transactions, and the different systems that need to talk to each other but cannot do so quickly enough to allow intraday collateral movement.” - Sergey Nazarov
DTCC’s Collateral AppChain will leverage the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) for orchestration between those systems and data sources, and CCIP which enables the movement of assets, value, and liquidity to and from the AppChain.
"You finally have a reliable and legally binding ledger from the DTCC that everyone can rely on, just like they rely on the DTCC now. That's a very powerful thing that I think the capital markets have been waiting for, where they can't get that from just any chain because those guarantees with the DTCC are fundamentally different" Nazarov also added.
The DTCC Collateral AppChain is expected to launch in Q1 2027.

We've updated Strategy launches even further.
- Cost to deploy has been lowered from 1Ξ to 0.25Ξ
- The full 0.25Ξ is now used to buy the token for the deployer, resulting in about 1% of the final supply
- 24 hour delay between launches
The Token Works
4 tokens have deployed since we've turned on permissionless launching of Strategies: CREDITSTR, IMDSTR, ARGOSTR, BUDSTR
They cannot be vamped due to only having one token per collection. They cannot be sniped due to descending taxes.
The fairest way to launch a token.

I always get most excited about Aave App when user deposits come directly from bank accounts into Aave.
We’ve crafted the experience so users can link their bank account to Aave, deposit fiat, and have it automatically converted 1:1 into stablecoins.
Every bank transfer feels like one step closer to mainstream adoption.
I’m happy of what we’ve built with the team so far, but we’re still in beta. We’re focused on polishing every part of the experience and expanding our onramp capabilities globally.
I believe we have one chance to get this right, so we’re putting a lot of focus on the last mile. The small details matter when you’re building for mainstream users.
Really excited to launch soon and onboard as many friends as I can.
This is the first onchain experience we’ve built that passes our famous “fintech test.”

Manual borrows are live on Hyperliquid
Portfolio margin and manual borrows use the same underlying HyperCore infrastructure, with $269M in assets borrowed today.
Users can supply HYPE and BTC as collateral to borrow quote assets (USDC and USDT). Borrowed quote assets pay interest, and supplied quote assets earn interest, with rates set by utilization.
We are thrilled to announce Michael Weisz (@WeiszM) as the new CEO of Kamino
