How can you NOT believe in God when octopuses dream and otters have a favorite rock they carry around in a little skin pocket and cows have best friends and bees are out there communicating the coordinates of flowers through dancing and they have regional dialects? Cats are purring at frequencies associated with bone healing? Forests get absolutely incinerated and respond by growing flowers? Dolphins literally invent names for themselves and yell them across the ocean? Penguins are waddling around Antarctica looking for the perfect rock to give their partner? CROWS REMEMBER YOUR FACE. THEY TELL OTHER CROWS ABOUT YOU. THEY TELL THEIR CHILDREN ABOUT YOU. YOU CAN HAVE GENERATIONAL BEEF WITH A BIRD. I NEED YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS. Goats have accents. Rats laugh when you tickle them. Elephants mourn their dead. Whales make songs and then OTHER WHALES LEARN THE SONG and suddenly everybody across the ocean is singing the new song. Monarch butterflies are born knowing how to fly thousands of miles to a place they have never been. Sea turtles hatch out of an egg, immediately sprint toward an ocean that they have never seen, disappear into it for like 3 decades and then somehow come back to the same beach they hatched on. Birds can see colors that we humans can’t see. There are colors out there right now that we don’t even get to know about. There are sea slugs that eat algae and use the chloroplast/chlorophyll and then are just like…photosynthesizing. And they’re super adorable. There are mushrooms communicating underground. There are seeds sitting in the dirt for decades like “no actually I will wait. It’s fine.” Squirrels plant trees because they forget where they put their snacks. Relatable. A CATERPILLAR GOES INTO A LITTLE BAG THAT IT CREATES ITSELF AND DISSOLVES MOST OF ITS BODY INTO ORGANIC GOO AND REARRANGES ITSELF, GROWS WINGS AND THEN LEAVES. WHY IS THIS NOT MORE BEAUTIFULLY TERRIFYING TO PEOPLE?? And you’re telling me a tiny acorn knows how to become a huge tree? It just has a blueprint inside itself? Your body started as ONE CELL. ONE. And that cell divided itself into a brain that can think about its own existence and eyes that can look at stars and hands that can hold somebody else’s hands and a heart that runs on electricity without you even asking it to? The iron in our blood was made inside a star?? We are walking around on a wet rock covered in bioluminescent oceans and singing whales and laughing rats and birds holding lifelong grudges and flowers exploding out of fire and somehow we’re supposed to act like this is a normal place to live? We’re supposed to act like this is all just a random, accidental sequence of events?

Bhutan rejected mass dog culling. WHO has now validated it as South-East Asia’s first country to eliminate dog-transmitted human rabies as a public-health problem. Vaccination and sterilisation worked. Culling did not. dogdeskanimalaction.co.uk/p/…

Jai Hind Friends 🇮🇳 Sharing for help abt fellow Brother in Arms ❤️ “Some stories should not be scrolled past. This is one of them. Col Anurag Upadhyay scored in the 99th percentile in CAT. He could have chosen a corporate career. He chose the Indian Army instead. He volunteered for the Special Forces, completed probation with 3 PARA (SF), and joined the raising team of 12 PARA (SF). Even after a heart attack in 2008, he returned to active duty. In August 2025, he suffered a severe posterior circulation stroke. Today, he has Locked-in Syndrome. His body has been severely affected. His mind has not. He is conscious and aware. He remembers. He thinks. Through eye movements and alphabet-based scanning, he communicates his thoughts. Further complications resulted in bilateral below-knee amputations. This post is not asking for sympathy. It is asking for possibility. His family knows what the medical literature says. They are not asking for promises. They believe no credible possibility should remain unexplored because the right expert was outside their network. They seek connections to: • Neurologists and neuro-rehabilitation specialists experienced in Locked-in Syndrome • Rehabilitation centres focused on neurological recovery • Researchers exploring recovery of movement, speech or other functions • Research and emerging technologies, including brain-computer interfaces • Eye-tracking and assistive technology that could give Anurag a more independent voice • Veteran organisations or individuals who can open the right doors Someone reading this may know a doctor who has treated a similar patient, a rehabilitation team that has seen a different outcome, a relevant researcher—or someone who can make the right introduction. His prognosis should be determined by medicine and how his body responds—not by a lack of information, access or connections. Please make a connection if you can. DM “Tales Of A Gypsy” on Instagram. If you cannot, share this until it reaches someone who can. No sympathy. Just one question: What more is possible for Col Anurag ? Let us help him find out” lnkd.in/p/d-AS2WgN Prayers 🙌For You- Brother Anurag ❤️

The recent videos of rescued orangutan babies in Odisha have sparked conversations across social media. For many people, it may be the first glimpse into the disturbing reality of global wildlife trafficking. Behind every such rescue lies a much larger, organized criminal network. It reminded me of an operation from about three years ago. We received an intelligence input from the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau about an inter-state wildlife trafficking syndicate. Wildlife and wildlife derivatives were being smuggled from Myanmar through the porous borders of Moreh in Manipur before being moved to different parts of India. The only clue we had was a mobile phone number. From that single lead, my team began piecing together the network. We tracked the phone’s movement, identified the routes, and soon realized that the traffickers were not travelling in the ways one would normally expect. They frequently flew by air or travelled in First and Second AC coaches of long-distance trains; places that attracted less suspicion and were also less stressful for transporting live animals. Eventually, we tracked three suspects. Using technical intelligence, we identified the train they were travelling on. From there we traced their PNR, located their exact berths, and intercepted them at the right place. They were carrying wildlife contraband. What struck me most was their confidence. They laughed at the arrest. They claimed they would walk free within days, produce documents, and even threatened some of our staff. But investigations don’t end with an arrest. For the next two years, our investigating officers worked relentlessly. Every piece of evidence was documented carefully. Witnesses stood firm. Charge sheets were filed within time. Every procedural requirement was followed meticulously. The result was worth the effort. All three accused were convicted and sentenced to five years’ imprisonment. That case was only one among many. Over the years, we have dismantled several wildlife trafficking networks, each revealing how sophisticated and well-connected these criminal syndicates are. Last year alone we have convictions in 22 such cases. One thing I have learned is that wildlife trafficking rarely exists in isolation. The same routes, the same facilitators, and sometimes the same criminal networks are often linked with narcotics, counterfeit currency, and other forms of organized crime. Someday, I hope to write about these investigations; not to sensationalize them, but to reveal the unseen world. (Few stories are tagged in my pinned tweet on profile).

No one man should ever have this amount of power again.
The American President just signed an Executive Order enabling ranchers to shoot and poison the very last wolves in America. Wolves in America number around 0.5% of their original population, and they are of course vital to the health of landscapes.

We’re quick to call wildlife a “nuisance” when they enter our gardens, neighborhoods, or trash… but rarely stop to ask what brought them there in the first place. Animals are simply trying to survive in a world that keeps changing around them.

Some people like @ReallySwara will stoop to lowest of the low levels just to gain their 2 min.s of fame and become relevant once again. Don’t give too much of value to such hypocrites going thru their existential crises. #jauhar #Padmavat

If the choice was between death or becoming a sex slave for conquerors and a concubine in their harems, several women chose former. Some women may choose latter. However, they used their agency- whether one agrees or disagrees with can be debated but it was a choice. A choice that a woman made. Deal with it.
