My first first-author paper reached its 100th citation! This topic is no longer my research focus, but I remain dedicated to developing tools for improving collaborative science. It's rewarding to see this thread woven throughout my work!

It feels like every outlet has lost control of concert ticket sales. I can't get tickets if I'm online the second an artist presale opens up but then five minutes later there are hundreds of tickets on resale for 3X the price. I hate it and I don't want to play this game.

I finally made a website for my stats/DS/R artwork (thanks for dealing with my unruly ReadMe for so long, everyone😅).
I hope the site makes it easier to explore, find & use the artwork in your materials. This is where I'll add new stuff from now on.

Hearing @lizzo play some of the Library's priceless antique instruments on Monday was such a gift, and we were honored and happy to help her share that gift with her concert audience Tuesday night. Here is some more behind-the-scenes footage of her Library tour. #LizzoAtLOC

I'd like to take a moment to thank my collaborators who appropriately budget effort for statistical support and understand that statisticians should be fairly compensated for their time. Working with you is the best part of the job.
The very last of piece of my dissertation is finally out in the world! "cpsurvsim: An R Package for Simulating Data from Change-Point Hazard Distributions," published in the R Journal journal.r-project.org/articl…

sometimes a statistical consultant isn't there to help you build fancy models, but to help you to figure out that you don't need one.
Open access is (mostly) a pay to play gig. What will the WH plan do to make this more equitable? What resources will researchers be given to pay open access fees? What will stop journals from increasing their open access fees?
Full disclosure, I am an AE for @AnnFamMed, which is open access without fees. But this seems to be the exception, not the rule.
From our SOW team to yours... check out our paper full of tips for using a scope of work to help outline expectations and cultivate successful collaborations!
Statistical consulting in the #DataScience era can either be remarkably rewarding or frustratingly fruitless. Learn why statistical scopes of work (SOW) can help, and how we at @CIDAstats have learned to write them effectively, in our new paper.
