I talked with Ukraine's lead negotiator in the peace talks with Russia, @Podolyak_M.
He said he believes the talks are real and Russia is not just using them to"stall for time" to regroup. But he said they might still take "months" to reach a deal.

The Kremlin has announced its demands for ending the war in Ukraine:
-Ukraine must change its constitution to guarantee it won't join any "blocs", i.e. NATO + EU.
-Must recognise Crimea as part of Russia.
-Must recognise the eastern separatist regions as independent.

It’s clear Russia is becoming increasingly comfortable with indiscriminately bombing Ukrainian cities. This sort of image looks like something from Syria. They seem to have very quickly crossed a psychological rubicon.
