Risk of locally heavy rain and flash flooding returns today, then a break in weather first half of work week. A few severe storms again today. After warmer temps mid week, cooler later in the week as shower and thunderstorm chances increase again. #NMWx

[Winter Preparedness] The NWS WSSI factors in both weather and infrastructure to rate storm severity on a simple 5-tier scale. Use standard WSSI (weather.gov/wssi) for 1–3 day forecasts and Probabilistic WSSI (weather.gov/wssi-p) to gauge risk up to 7 days out. 🌨️❄️

Destroying a nation from the inside doesn’t look like a classic invasion. In 2025, it looks like confusion, chaos, and unacknowledged threats walking among us.
In GWOT, the most stressful part wasn’t fighting uniformed enemies. It was facing asymmetric threats. Women, children, and men so soft, weak, or strange that most Americans would never think twice before turning their back on them.
Like cavalry dismissing infantry before the rise of the pike, we’re in danger of underestimating those who appear weak but strike without warning. The firearm is the new equalizer. You don’t need strength. You don’t need a cause. Just madness and a trigger finger.
We don’t have asylums anymore. So the disturbed roam freely. We’ve been shamed into silence. Told not to judge, not to profile, not to act. And so we wait… until the next atrocity.
But we can’t afford to wait.
These people weaponize weakness. They hide behind it. They use it. And unless we learn to detect danger before it strikes, we’ll get more bloodshed, not less.
Today is the anniversary of the first day of Gettysburg. But if civil conflict returns, don’t expect romantic battle lines. You’ll get Baghdad. You’ll get Kandahar. You’ll get sectarian violence so gruesome, Satan himself will flinch.
The only way to prevent that future is to stop underestimating evil. And never, ever take a threat for granted again.
Because when a civilized society’s honor is weaponized against it, the results are the stuff of nightmares when the betrayal is realized.
Luring in, and killing innocent first responders, leads us directly down that path.

Beneath the Skin of Saints | by: E.M. Burlingame
There’s a beast in our gut,
a murder kink woven into bones,
and it’s why your pretty little world
doesn’t get smashed to shit every night.
Trauma? It’s just heroin for the soul,
toughens us up, keeps the blade sharp.
I’ve got kids sleeping down the hall,
and that’s all it takes—
one wrong move, and I’m laughing
through the pain and flesh,
blood on my floor,
some bastard’s guts by the door.
It’s old wiring, see,
Viking wrath pumping through the veins,
a thousand years of war screaming,
“Keep going, you son of a bitch, survive.”
Your tantrums? Cute.
Estrogen fits in a cheap dress.
We, we’re the storm,
testosterone dripping from our blades,
turned on by the crack of a skull
when it’s you or us.
Society’s nothing but a thin veneer,
and we’re the drunk pulling the pin.
Push us, threaten what’s dear to,
and we’ll burn it all down,
raid your ass back to the stone age,
grinning like a mad dog
with a hard-on for the kill.
The rules? They’re for you,
not us.
Our leash is our own,
tied tight ‘til it snaps,
and when it does,
We’re free—
slaughter, an ancient art form,
our love letter to the dead ones
who coded this kink in us.
Don’t strut about as if you're rough,
Delusional, thinking you’re tough.
You’re a mere sparkler;
We’re a goddamn wildfire.
Society rides our back,
and we carry it
with a smirk and a hand grenade,
‘cause down deep,
We’re the bloodied wolves
that keep the sheep alive.

We told you to leave us alone.
We didn't want to get too political.
We didn't want to get too involved.
But you made us.
You went after our kids, our jobs, our money, and our lives.
You made us care. Remember?
Well this *waves hand* is our response.
Enjoy the bed you made.

Let's say I'm doing 50 in a 30, and I get pulled over by an officer who's gonna issue me a ticket.
What is it that keeps me restrained as a law abiding citizen, and prevents me from simply driving away, refusing the ticket outright, or even becoming non-compliant and fighting with the officer?
Ultimately, it's the threat of force.
It's the glock in condition one, holstered on his belt that encourages me to respect his authority and maintain a civil discourse.
Now I'll ask you the same question about our politicians. What's keeping them from using their positions of influence and power to engage in criminal pursuits, to profit off of treasonous activity and to infringe upon our God given rights in their quest for tyrannical authority.
Ultimately, it's the threat of force.
It's an entire population of heavily armed and proficiently trained minute-men that encourages the state to respect our liberties and maintain integrity in the fulfillment of their duties.
Now you understand the critical importance of an armed people.
If you do not draw your line in the sand at the right to be armed, you cannot draw it anywhere else.

When people ask me, hey anon, why do you do it?
Why do you spend an entire weekend every 3 weeks rucking through the night, working on SUT, land nav under nods, tracking, counter tracking and weapons proficiency.
I won't say a damn word.
Why?
They won't understand. They won't understand that it's about this story right here.
