🚨Out now - Lives on the Line: The Human Impact of US Foreign Aid Shifts.
Six weeks after the U.S. administration issued a global aid freeze, humanitarian organisations are being forced to suspend lifesaving programs—cutting off food, healthcare, and shelter for the world’s most vulnerable.
Building on the ICVA survey, as well as secondary data from @UNOCHA, @GroundTruthSol, @humentum_org, interviews and discussions with donors, UN agencies, and partners, the report highlights the catastrophic fallout:
🔹 2/3 of NGOs have reduced or halted operations, in some cases up to 100%.
🔹 Local & refugee-led organisations face collapse.
🔹 A growing domino effect as other donors cut aid.
⏳ Humanitarian aid is an essential public good. The global community must step up before it's too late.

A Concern worker’s assessment of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in #Sudan:
“While the humanitarian community, and Concern, are doing what we can, there is too little funding and too few resources to meet the unprecedented needs.
“It’s no wonder that people I talked with there feel they have been forgotten – it is inhuman to think that people can survive, let alone thrive, with such little support.”

Food is a fundamental human right and essential for building a sustainable future.
Recognising this right means creating a food system that meets today's needs while protecting our planet and health for the future.
The world produces enough food to feed its 8 billion people. Yet 733 million people - 1 in 11 - go hungry every day. 📽️ ⬇️
