"I'm leaving Web3 gaming. I'll come back when things get better." I've been seeing this sentiment more and more lately. Here's the thing... If you walk away when things get tough and only come back when the money starts flowing again, don't be surprised if you're left behind. The relationships you build during the hard times can be worth far more than any contract. I understand people need to make a living. I do too. I work a regular 9 to 5, have a family, and still find time to show up because I genuinely care about Web3 gaming. If the opportunities aren't paying enough right now, there's nothing wrong with finding work elsewhere. But that doesn't mean you have to abandon the space entirely. You can still contribute, support projects, create content, and build relationships without expecting a paycheck every time. You can't expect to be part of the comeback if you're only willing to show up when things are good.

In the depths of the bear i sadposted for the wilds. someone told me "you'll lose support." Maybe. but pretending everything's fine is how people keep falling for the same hype instead of trusting builders. Honest question: why don't you want someone real who tells you the truth over someone selling you promises?

"DON'T SHARE YOUR DOWN MOMENTS IN WEB3 ANDREW, YOU WILL LOSE SUPPORT." nah. imma do it anyway. Just woke up from too little sleep and feeling very tired emotionally. Been working diligently for the past 2 hours while every inch of my mind and body has given up on Web3. I'm starting to feel like I was conned into believing in something that is not real. All the money goes to scammers, shysters, con-artists and thieves. Huge grants go to people who build nothing. VC invests in rubbish that can only increase their money with rug pulls. Every chain I have met with is small, almost no community. They all gave so much money to incompetent liars and slick white paper makers that they have nothing left to help us real builders market or amplify genuine products. I feel like we are on our own. There are so few trustworthy content creators that you can't even trust the genuine ones. Just mercenaries everywhere who post content because they are paid to. There are very few actual gamers. The more you amplify your project, the more you get bombarded by jobbers and extractors. I wanted to build here so that players could sell their inventory to each other, but the tech is so damned expensive and complicated, and chains want you to use their internal systems, but there are simply not any players there. We are expected to build their communities for them with no help whatsover. No financial help, no real amplification, no real vision. But launch some scammy token and some NFT that looks like every other NFT with zero utility and they amplify that crap like it's the next gold mine. I'll keep building and probably feel better in a few hours when my brain chemicals stabilize, but right now I have to calibrate my 'why'. I came here to fund our real-world charity and change the lives of people playing our games and I find myself wondering if I am not building something that will hurt more people than help them. But I am a man who finishes what he starts, so I will see this through to the end and give it every possible chance to succeed. I will work with anyone who wants to build, try every chain until I find some that are as passionate as we are about changing lives, and work with creators until we find some who actually want to build. I see all the negative things and I often feel like I have made a big mistake building here, but I will hold on to my delusional optimism that Web3 is what I thought it was when I came here 4 years ago, a technology that can change lives for the better. Anyhoo. I shall now eat some breakfast and probably feel all happy and positive about Web3 in a few hours again.
