Watch this it’s fascinating - I asked James Timpson what he’d do about prisons and sentencing if he was in charge. He believes only a third of prisoners in jail should definitely be there. He’s now in charge of prisons (but not sentencing).

I have joined 4999 GPs in signing a joint letter calling on @wesstreeting to deliver on his promises to change general practice in England for the better. The more GPs in England who sign up, the more likely he will listen so please join me and go to rcgp.eaction.org.uk/Joint-Le…

Is this what you want to see at 10pm tomorrow? Change will only happen if you vote for it.

Also worth pointing out that tactical voting sites can differ in their recommendations (eg Hinckley and Bosworth), & they can’t all be right.
Change will only happen if you vote for it tactically. Here’s how (and don’t forget your photo ID).

In a nutshell. 🔥
Looking back on 14 years of the Tories is like looking back at the traumatising post-vindaloo shit you just did in the toilet.

Watching @coldplay playing ‘Fix You’ with Michael J Fox was iconic The lyrics are a poignant reminder of a journey with #Parkinsons. A call to governments to invest in more research so the scientific community to fix us. Thanks for the shout out at the end, I’m being good #cancer

Chris Patten, the sort of intelligent, morally-driven Tory that was permanently ostracised under the Johnson clownshow, has committed another murder. He’s so angry he even swears twice. I could watch this all day. Absolutely superb, as always. 👏

Truths.
"For some of us, this is our reality". We hear from newly qualified GP @tilnaST & @doctor_katie on why the #ARM2024 motion calling to restore the rights of GPs to employ the staff they need is so important and why we must support the campaign to #TakeActionSaveGeneralPractice.

In England, we currently have many GPs unable to find permanent posts whilst at the same time patients are struggling to get appointments with their own GP. The next government must invest in core GP services to expand capacity and give people the care the primary care they need.

We are not allowed to spend any of the £1.4bn from Government for staff on employing any new GPs or any new practice nurses. Yes, we are now seeing 1000s of unemployed GPs. This is a national disgrace. @SkyNews @BBCBreaking @itn @c4news @channel5 @channel5_tv

NHS England leadership don’t want you to see a GP They have cut GP Practice Funding by 20% £/patient in real terms since 2016, have moved funding to ARRS (Additional Roles) at the expense of recruitment & retention of GPs & Practice Nurses None understand the needs of patients
The BMA has demanded that the next Government lifts 'absurd' restrictions in the GP contract that ‘prevent practices in England from using existing funding to hire more GPs’. buff.ly/3RhDenJ
