Your Soul Belongs Entirely To God - Catholic Parents Online
St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians emphasizes the importance of charity, not just in giving to the poor, but in cultivating a pure, selfless love for God and neighbor. This charity, which leads to knowledge and discernment, is the ultimate calling and fulfillment of our vocation. Jesus reinforces this by asking us to give to God what is God’s—our love and devotion—as we are made in His image and belong to Him.

You Can See Everything: The Art of Manipulating Reality (Nathan Fielder & Elizabeth Holmes) - Avoiding Babylon
You Can See Everything is in theaters. Nathan Fielder and Elizabeth Holmes are the case study. Tonight: manipulation, propaganda, and what a manufactured reality does to people who want to believe it.
You Can See Everything: The Art of Manipulating Reality. Live on Avoiding Babylon with Anthony and Rob.
Nathan Fielder's new film, You Can See Everything, co-directed with Lance Oppenheim, puts Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos back in front of the country. Holmes was convicted of fraud. Fielder spent years building constructed realities, from Nathan for You to The Rehearsal. The film asks you to watch both at once. That is what tonight is for.
This is not a celebrity recap. It is a look at how propaganda works when it stops looking like a poster and starts looking like a person: confidence, repetition, a camera, and an audience that would rather trust the performance than test the claim. "You can see everything" is not a neutral title. It is a claim about who holds the view.
On the livestream:
- What the film is doing with Elizabeth Holmes, and what it refuses to settle
- The difference between a joke, a lie, and a propaganda campaign
- Why Theranos is still the cleanest model of a modern deception
- What a Catholic owes the truth when the culture prefers the performance
The question under both stories is old. Who is forming you, and what are they selling as sight?
Join us live. Bring a question for the chat.
Avoiding Babylon. Standing outside the culture, not performing for it.

If Jesus Is King, Why Do Catholics Call Mary “Queen of Heaven”?
🌹 If Jesus is King, why do Catholics call Mary “Queen of Heaven”? Does that make Mary equal to Christ—or even divine? Catholic teaching says no. Her queenship only makes sense because Jesus Christ is King.
✝️ Jesus Christ is King by nature and by right. Mary is Queen by grace. She does not possess a kingdom beside Christ’s, and she has no divine nature or independent sovereignty. She is a creature, and every dignity she possesses is a gift from God.
📖 Mary is the Mother of Jesus Christ, one Divine Person, true God and true man. Gabriel announced that her Son would receive “the throne of David” and reign forever. Her royal dignity therefore begins not with power of her own, but with the identity of her Son: the promised Messianic King.
👑 Pope Pius XII taught that Mary’s queenship is rooted especially in her Divine Motherhood and her unique association with Christ’s saving work. But the distinction remains essential: Christ is King in the full and strict sense. Mary’s queenship is received, dependent, and entirely subordinate to His.
📖 Is Mary’s Coronation actually described in the Bible? No New Testament passage narrates Jesus placing a crown upon Mary’s head. Catholics should say that honestly. The Fifth Glorious Mystery is the Rosary’s traditional contemplation of Mary’s heavenly queenship through the language of faith, liturgy, theology, and sacred art.
🌟 Revelation 12 presents “a woman clothed with the sun” with “a crown of twelve stars” upon her head. Catholic tradition sees genuine Marian meaning in this image. But Revelation does not give us an eyewitness account of a heavenly crowning ceremony.
🙏 Catholics worship GOD ALONE. The worship of latria belongs to God alone. Mary receives unique veneration because she is the Mother of God and because of what God has accomplished in her. Calling her Queen does not make her a goddess, Christ’s equal, or an independent source of grace.
🌹 In this Day 28 reflection, we enter the Fifth and final Glorious Mystery and contemplate Mary exalted in heavenly glory beneath the sovereignty of Jesus Christ the King. The crown points not to Mary’s independence, but to what God has done for His humble handmaid.
🙏 During your next Fifth Glorious Mystery, look first to CHRIST THE KING, then contemplate His Mother exalted beneath Him. Ask for the traditional fruit of THE GRACE OF FINAL PERSEVERANCE—the grace to remain faithful to God until death and to finish your earthly life in His friendship.
The Annunciation began with Mary’s Fiat. The Sorrowful Mysteries led us through the Passion and Sacrifice of Christ. The Glorious Mysteries proclaimed His Resurrection, Ascension, the descent of the Holy Ghost, Mary’s Assumption, and now her royal exaltation beneath Christ the King.
🌹 JOYFUL. SORROWFUL. GLORIOUS.
The fifteen traditional mysteries are complete.

Moscow Rejects Ukrainian Baptisms — Fr. Jason Charron Responds | ACT 10-27-26 - Joe McClane
The Russian Orthodox Church says a Ukrainian Orthodox baptism is not a baptism. Fr. Jason Charron, a Ukrainian Catholic priest, joins Joe on what Moscow just decreed. What it means for “one Lord, one faith, one baptism” — and for the Catholics of Ukraine who live next door to it.
On October 22, 2026, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church approved guidelines for receiving people from what it calls “Ukrainian schismatic structures” — the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Kyiv Patriarchate and the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Anyone baptized in those bodies must be baptized to enter the Russian Church. Clergy ordained there come in as laymen. Communities that join must worship in Church Slavonic and may not ask for their own liturgical order. Anyone who criticized the Church online must sign a renunciation of his “former errors.” Moscow calls it canon law; Kyiv calls it rebaptism. And a Ukrainian Catholic, baptized in communion with Rome, is received differently than a Ukrainian Orthodox baptized two streets away.
Fr. Jason Charron is pastor of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, a married father of seven, and a former seminary professor who led a rescue of Ukrainian orphans the day after the 2022 invasion. He joins Joe at 4:30 ET.
Also today at 4:14 ET: Nick Kerasotes of iCatholic Mobile, America’s only Catholic 5G wireless carrier, on how the company started and why a phone company gives part of every dollar to Catholic media and traditional religious orders.
SCRIPTURE (Douay-Rheims):
- Ephesians 4:5 — “One Lord, one faith, one baptism.”
- Colossians 3:11 — “Where there is neither Gentile nor Jew… but Christ is all, and in all.”

Is the Catholic Church Failing the West? | In Conversation with Fr Robert McTeigue - REGINA Unscripted
Is Western civilisation facing a spiritual collapse? And why does the Catholic Church seem so reluctant to confront the crisis?
In this episode of **In Conversation**, Katherine Bennett and Mark Lambert welcome back **Fr Robert McTeigue SJ**, Jesuit priest, author and host of *The Catholic Current*, for a provocative discussion about the future of Christianity in the West.
Against the backdrop of reported unrest across France and other European countries, Fr McTeigue argues that the problems facing Western society run much deeper than immigration, political instability or economic decline.
From falling birth rates and the breakdown of family life to the consequences of the sexual revolution, he explores how decades of cultural change have contributed to a crisis of faith, identity and social cohesion.
But where is the Catholic Church in all of this?
Fr McTeigue questions whether Church leaders have become too reliant on dialogue, diplomacy and synodality while neglecting the spiritual weapons of prayer, fasting, repentance and evangelisation.
He also discusses what he calls *“the scandal of mediocrity”* within Catholic worship, arguing that the Church cannot proclaim the Eucharist as the source and summit of Christian life while tolerating a culture of liturgical indifference.
And as younger generations increasingly question the promises of secular culture, could the Catholic Church's ancient traditions offer the answers they are searching for?
*IN THIS EPISODE:*
What is driving the reported unrest across Europe?
Why Fr McTeigue believes the West is facing a spiritual crisis
The Catholic Church's response to cultural and political upheaval
Why prayer, fasting and the Rosary still matter
Pope Leo XIV's visit to France and the legacy of the French Revolution
The contraceptive pill, declining birth rates and the breakdown of family life
How the sexual revolution changed Western society
Should Catholics reconsider where they donate their money?
The scandal of mediocrity in Catholic liturgy
Beauty, truth and goodness as instruments of evangelisation
Synodality, Church leadership and the danger of doctrinal compromise
Why some young Catholics are rediscovering tradition
Can the Catholic Church help rebuild Western civilisation?
Throughout the conversation, Fr McTeigue challenges Catholics to recover confidence in their faith, take spiritual warfare seriously and recognise that Christianity offers something radically different from the promises of modern secular culture.
As he puts it:
*“We have to really participate in the truth and the goodness and the beauty of our faith.”*

Who Rules the World's Most Powerful Leaders? #Shorts #ViralShorts - Excerpta Catechismi
👑 WHO RULES THE WORLD'S MOST POWERFUL LEADERS?
Presidents sign laws. Kings govern nations. Governments exercise authority over millions.
But who rules the rulers?
✝️ JESUS CHRIST IS KING BY DIVINE RIGHT.
His sovereignty does not depend upon elections, constitutions, governments, or human recognition.
No earthly ruler can create or abolish His authority.
📖 SACRED SCRIPTURE
Our Lord Jesus Christ declared:
"All power is given to me in heaven and in earth."
— Matthew 28:18 (Douay-Rheims)
And Sacred Scripture commands:
"And now, O ye kings, understand: receive instruction, you that judge the earth."
— Psalm 2:10 (Douay-Rheims)
⛪️ WHAT POPE PIUS XI TAUGHT
In his 1925 encyclical Quas Primas, Pope Pius XI explained that the Kingship of Jesus Christ extends beyond individual believers and families to societies, governments, and nations.
Christ possesses universal authority as the Incarnate Son of God and Redeemer of mankind.
Civil rulers possess legitimate but limited temporal authority. They remain accountable to God's moral law and must govern with justice, respect for human dignity, and concern for the common good.
A government cannot make injustice morally right simply by passing a law.
⚖️ CHRIST'S KINGDOM AND EARTHLY AUTHORITY
Jesus declared:
"My kingdom is not of this world."
— John 18:36 (Douay-Rheims)
Christ's Kingdom is supernatural and does not derive its authority from earthly politics.
The Church has a spiritual mission. Civil governments are responsible for temporal affairs and the common good.
Their responsibilities are distinct, but public life is not exempt from God's moral law.
Christ's Kingship must never be confused with any political party, ruler, or nation. Nor does it justify forced conversion, religious hatred, or injustice.
🙏 TODAY'S PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Whether you are a parent, teacher, worker, employer, citizen, or public servant, examine one responsibility you exercise in society.
Practice honesty.
Defend justice.
Reject corruption.
Show charity.
Let your conduct reflect the King you profess to serve.
👑 CHRIST IS KING WHETHER RECOGNIZED OR NOT.
Presidents leave office. Kingdoms fall. Governments change.
But Christ's sovereignty endures.
NATIONS DO NOT MAKE CHRIST KING. THEY ARE CALLED TO RECOGNIZE HIM BECAUSE HE IS ALREADY KING.
CHRISTUS VINCIT. CHRISTUS REGNAT. CHRISTUS IMPERAT.
Christ conquers. Christ reigns. Christ commands.

Saint John Chrysostom (c.345-407)
priest at Antioch then Bishop of Constantinople, Doctor of the Church
Homilies on the Acts of the apostles, no. 20
To be leaven in the dough
Is there anything more ridiculous than a christian who couldn't care less about other people? Don't use your poverty as an excuse. The widow who put two small coins in the Temple coffer (Mk 12,42) would rise up against you; Peter, too, who said to the lame man: “Gold or silver have I none” (Acts 3,6) and Paul, who was so poor he often went hungry. Neither protest your social condition, for the apostles were also humble men of low degree. Don't plead your ignorance for they were unlettered. Even if you were a slave or a fugitive you would always be able to do what lies in your power. Onesimus, whose praises Paul sang, was such a one (Phlm; Col 4,9). Would you claim weak health? Timothy had it too. Yes, whoever we are, anyone at all can be of service to his neighbor if he genuinely wants to do what he can.
Do you notice how the trees in the forest are flourishing, handsome, rising upwards? Nevertheless, we prefer fruit trees in our gardens or olive trees covered with fruit. Handsome, sterile trees..., such are they who are only thinking of their own interests...
If leaven doesn't cause the dough to rise then it isn't a proper raising agent. If perfume doesn't give off scent to those who are approaching, can we still call it a perfume? So don't say it's impossible to have a good influence on others because, if you are a real christian, it's impossible that nothing should happen, this is part of the very essence of being a christian... It would be as contradictory to say that a christian cannot be of any use to his neighbor as to deny the sun its ability to give light and heat.

Readings & Reflection
Epistle to the Philippians 1,6-11.
Brethren, be confident of this very thing: that he who hath begun a good work in you will perfect it unto the day of Christ Jesus. As it is meet for me to think this for you all, for that I have you in my heart; and that, in my bands and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of my joy. For God is my witness how I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
And this I pray: That your charity may more and more abound in knowledge and in all understanding: That you may approve the better things: that you may be sincere and without offence unto the day of Christ: Filled with the fruit of justice, through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Holy Gospel according to Saint Matthew 22,15-21.
The Pharisees going, consulted among themselves how to insnare Jesus in his speech. And they sent to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying: Master, we know that thou art a true speaker and teachest the way of God in truth. Neither carest thou for any man: for thou dost not regard the person of men. Tell us therefore what dost thou think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? But Jesus knowing their wickedness, said: Why do you tempt me, ye hypocrites?
Shew me the coin of the tribute. And they offered him a penny. And Jesus saith to them: Whose image and inscription is this? They say to him: Caesar's. Then he saith to them: Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God, the things that are God's.
Tertullian (c.155-220)
theologian
On the Resurrection of the flesh, 5-6 (©The Ante-Nicene Fathers)
“Whose image is this? ”
At the beginning of the world all things were made by the Word of God “and without him nothing came to be” (Jn 1:3). Now man, too, had his existence from the Word of God because of the principle that there should be nothing without that Word. “Let us make man,” God said before he created him, and added, “with our hand” to express his pre-eminence so that he might not be compared to the rest of creation. “And God,” says Scripture, “formed man” (Gn 2:7) (…)
”And God formed man from the clay of the earth.” He now became man who was hitherto clay (…) That poor, paltry material, clay, found its way into the hands of God, happy enough at being merely touched by them. But why this honor? Was it that, without any further labor, the clay had instantly assumed its form at the touch of God? The truth is, a great matter was in progress out of which the creature under consideration was being fashioned. It is honoured whenever it experiences the hands of God, when it is touched by them, and pulled, and drawn out, and moulded into shape. Imagine God wholly absorbed in it: in his hand, his eye, his labor, his purpose, his wisdom, his providence and, above all, in his love, which was dictating the lineaments of this creature. For whatever was the form and expression given to the clay, Christ was in God's thoughts as one day to become man, because the Word, too, was to be both clay and flesh even as the earth was then.
This is the meaning of the Father's first words to his Son: “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness” (Gn 1:26). God made man, the creature which he moulded and fashioned, in the image of God, in other words of Christ (…) Thus, that clay that was even then putting on the image of Christ who was to come in the flesh, was not only the work but the pledge and surety given by God.

David Wood Destroys Protestantism, Ancient Heretics Used Sola Scriptura & Noahide Blasphemy - SHAMOUNIAN: SAM'S ONLY OFFICIAL YT CHANNEL
I review some clips from the recent debates between David Wood and Jay Dyer, showing just how cringe and embarrassing Wood did, and how he basically destroyed his Protestant beliefs. I then cite St. Vincent of Lerins where he states that the heretics all followed Sola Scriptura in contrast to the one true Church, which did not do so, From there I mention the blasphemous Noahide religion set up by rabbinic Jews, which has been used to get people to renounce Jesus as a false Messiah. I show how so-called Christians like Apostate Prophet and Godlogic have no problem with associating with folks who embrace this blasphemy , as long as it helps their grift and criticism of Islam.
