Not sure how many of you have been in a card auction on @eBay lately, but extended bidding is officially being tested in trading cards.
Bid in the final minute and the clock resets to 60 seconds. It keeps going until a full minute passes with no bids.
As someone who enjoys a good snipe, I'm hoping this one gets reverted. But I doubt buyer or seller sentiment is what eBay is measuring. My guess is the question is simple: does it push final sale prices higher than when the card would've been sniped?
If the answer is yes, it's here to stay and it'll roll out more broadly. If it isn't moving the needle, we might have a shot at getting the old way back.

Peerly Collect: Been quietly building this one for months.
I love building tools around the things I’m passionate about. After having fun building comicclippings .com and watching it run on autopilot, I knew it was only a matter of time before the next idea sparked. Going deep on AI has made all of it more fun than ever, and I still feel like I’m just scratching the surface, which is the exciting part.
This one started with a personal itch. Most of my cards live in the PSA vault, not everything I own is graded, and I do a lot of private sales. I wanted one place to send people to see what’s for sale and what’s in the vault, so a deal can start with zero friction.
Then it clicked. Streamers could finally have a home for the cards they’d never start at a $1 auction, somewhere people can actually find them. Card show vendors could show the inventory they don’t bring to every show and take deposits on it.
That’s PeerlyCollect. You bring your own audience. Buy, make offers, propose trades, collector to collector. Zero commission on sales.
The selling side isn’t built for the masses. It’s for those who sell on secondary consistently and/or have a community and credibility behind them.
But the vault is for everyone. If you just want a beautiful way to show off your collection, creating an account and building your vault is completely free.

Before you copy someone's business strategy, understand what this person is trying to get out of their life. It might not be the same thing you want.
