There is not one double blind study showing that parachutes work. Should we stop their use until research supports it?
Five years ago, I broke open my leg on a rusty metal manure spreader. It needed eight to ten stitches, but I couldn’t be bothered going to the hospital. It healed great, no tetanus, no vaccine. The immune system is a wonderful thing as long as you don’t mess it with it.
Maternal antibodies don’t wane until 6 to 12 months, so the vaccines wouldn’t protect them anyway. They would get all of the risk and zero benefit. Pretty naïve to not consider this.
General health checks did not reduce morbidity or mortality, neither overall nor for cardiovascular or cancer causes, although they increased the number of new diagnoses. bmj.com/content/345/bmj.e719…
