Agree in principle but when you’re posting the highest commercial revenues in world football while also admitting you don’t have a deep fan base, people are going to scrutinise it.

City don’t have an army of football tourists to occupy every empty seat when locals don’t go like the other big PL clubs. UCL group stage prices have nearly doubled in the last few years, wages have not. No football fans should be attacking other fans for taking a night off.
