Playing well for @Saracens so far
Alex O’Driscoll
Tobias Elliott
Tali Va’enuka
Nathan Michelow
Chris Ashton’s description of @Saracens ‘ clunkiness is not wrong
Blending young and old - BV’s wine analogy - seems to be failing. Our older grapes seem to be past it.
Are we are better off giving the reins to our young guns?
So many unforced schoolboy errors by @Saracens
So wasteful
From our experienced players too - Farrell, Daly, George so far
That forward pass by @NCL_RedBulls Wade, called by the ref, was less forward that the pass that led to Kok’s try against @Saracens
Alex O’Driscoll doing well today for @Saracens - dominating both @NCL_RedBulls tightheads
Nonsense scrum penalty against @Saracens for ‘walking round’.
There was no stepping out by our loosehead, he scrummed straight and the @NCL_RedBulls tighthead retreated and wheeled going backwards
🙄
Newcastle will fancy their chances as @Saracens defensive woes and lack of cohesion are again exposed. Sarries’ performance reminiscent of the Tottenham Stadium capitulation in 2025. Some big name players resting on their reputations (not Maro, Ben or Rhys)
This ref seems to have little idea - scrum penalty against Sarries @saracens whereas the @Harlequins tighthead went to ground first.
Earlier penalty dodgy also
Worrying
It’s at least this Aus match is helping the selection process for the Bok @Springboks squad for RWC 2027. A fair number of the starting XV will surely have big question marks by their names

Alaalatoa’s tackle had direct indisputable head to head contact and it was a penalty only.
Ethan Hooker’s tackle had whiplash that needed to be watch 12 times to confirm??
Are we actually serious about this sport or are we determined to confuse Americans?

There we go. One of Nigel Farage’s key allies. Eventually the mask slips. Not sure you could find a more blatant example of outright racism than this.

Cause for optimism with the Second Test @Springboks @AllBlacks looming …
From about 30mins onwards Boks so poor and so many mistakes that just reducing the error count should have a marked effect on performance - we played as a bunch of clumsy individuals, esp our half backs
