Today was my Dads @RichardDimler1 76th birthday so we got him a 1957 John Deere 720 Diesel, just like the one he learned to drive when he was 10 years old. It’s been a dream of his to have one of these again. I think he felt 10 again driving it. Happy Birthday Dad, we love you!
FLAX! Flax keeps wrapping on drum on FD2 headers. Took most the fingers and all the fingers out and still does it. Any tips or tricks that might help?

Still have a very nice 18R 20” Capello chopping corn head for sale. It’s a 2015 but we bought it new in 2017. Always shedded other than a few days of corn harvest each fall. Every year it did about 500-1000ac so fairly low acre unit. Has Claas adapter but could be switched.
Just did some math on last months NG and power bill. Dried approx 300,000bu Barley from about 19 to 13.5 and 200,000bu wheat some as high as 27-28% but likely avg from 20% to 14%
Gas portion $0.046/bu and electricity about $0.02/bu.

My son Nathan was drawn for elk this fall but hasn’t really had time to hunt during harvest. Last night guys saw a few elk in the field we were combining in so him and one of the guys went out this morning and were successful! Service truck was in the field so craned it up w it
We had a bit of wreck with one of our trucks and super B last weekend so the rainy weather this week gave a chance to shop for a replacement unit.

Went golfing with my son Justin today at Lynwood in Moose Jaw. He was that close to a hole in 1 on hole #14, 158yrd par 3. Ball was rolling towards the pin but stopped just a few inches short.
