Having a difficult time putting into words the feeling I had when I left the hospital after doing chest compressions on a coding young person who lost their fight with COVID, to see a normal packed Friday night at bars and restaurants...

Among OB/GYN practices in LA County managed #Medicaid networks, fewer than 1 in 10 reachable clinics provided abortion care, and most imposed early gestational limits or out-of-pocket costs, contrary to state law.

Trying to consolidate my student loans and get on an income driven repayment plan has been an absolute nightmare!!!! Constantly cycled between my medical school, MOHELA, and AidVantage with no answers or resolution

Oh you’re going to a teaching hospital in July? Well get ready…
for the most compassionate care from extremely empathetic interns along with their vigilant supervising attendings. Hope you like open ended questions and doctors listening to you bc you’re gonna drown in it.
Mackenzie Bennett, MD/MPH. Took me 5 years to earn those 5 letters and I am so grateful to my loved ones for believing in me (even when I didn’t), my mentors for exemplifying the kind of doctor I want to be, and Emory SOM for the privilege to care for Atlanta👩🏼⚕️💜🫶🏻

What a privilege to spend 3.5 hours (!) with these extraordinary @EmoryMedicine M4s at our Physicians as Storytellers Capstone workshop! We wrote, we laughed, we cried, we listened, we shared. I am so, so fortunate to get to do this every year. So grateful to all who signed up!🙏🏽

medicine is hard and the match process is absolutely brutal. if you went #unmatched and are participating in #SOAP23 #SOAP2023 and need an anonymous listening ear that gets it, call the Physician Support Line. they’ll listen, talk you through whatever, and help

Atlanta has the highest income inequality in the US; our jails are wildly overcrowded and deadly; we have only ONE level 1 trauma hospital; our streets are a mess; we have an unchecked housing crisis. And what do residents get? A playground for the armed forces killing Atlantans.
Since submitting my rank list I’ve started a ClassPass trial and tried hot yoga, acrobatic yoga, hatha yoga, kickboxing, solidcore, yoga nidra… and have spenga tomorrow 🫠
can’t stop pulling up my rank list again and again and just staring at it in a state of florid angst
The most unrealistic part of Grey’s Anatomy is the surgeons carpooling into work while the sun is already up
So grateful for all the hard work from fellow medical students that made #ForumSymposium2023 possible! Hearing from people doing much needed work in Female Sexual Medicine is inspiring. Equity, pleasure, and bodily autonomy for all🗣

It’s difficult to get students to show up for Med school lectures.
What do you think about more than 100 students showing up on a Sunday morning to learn about female sexual medicine???
They planned this themselves.
You bet I show up!

DeKalb County Commission did it!! They just passed the Declaration for Reproductive Freedom.
This means patients & providers seeking or providing abortion care – already very limited in GA – will not have to fear criminalization for using or providing healthcare services.
anyone else just living in constant agonizing fear of missing an interview due to a time zone calculation error?? #match2023
So proud of my brother and all his hard work!
