I don't know who needs to hear this, but using the New Zealand trick is not immoral, unfair or even against the TOS, at least for Xbox, nor is it in the Rockstar TOS.
Everyone can do it. It is easier on Xbox because all you have to do is change your region to New Zealand when GTA VI is released there. As long as you have already bought the game legitimately, there is nothing wrong with doing the trick and you can play the game like 18 hours early.
Rockstar isn't "locking" people from playing the game, they are releasing it at midnight locally for each region, a practice that has been the norm for over 20 years in the video game industry.
Is it "unfair" that New Zealand gets midnight on the 19th before everyone else? No. That is how timezones work.
Since the game is only being released on PS5 and Xbox, that means every single person who has preordered it can do this trick to play early, meaning its not unfair to anyone, just those too lazy to change their region.
Let's be real here.
The fact that GTA 6 can be unlocked up to 18 hours early for some people around the world is a massive disappointment, they’re essentially locking users from playing the the at the same time.
This should’ve been a global release but this pro tip will allow you to play the game when it first launches!

this is very cool. seems high effort and getting the original VA's 11 years later makes it feel like official DLC. it might as well be considered that. when creations are done right, it's a great system. even better when it's Bethesda paying for it on big projects like this.

16 years ago, i asked my mom to rent new vegas from blockbuster and never returned it. that method only works once for getting a new game but i'm glad i picked new vegas.
i like max, but a 4090 definitely can handle any game on near max settings. there are some settings like PT that even 5090's struggle with, but that's how it always is with cutting edge graphics settings. steam is still growing despite AI's impact on PC parts. PC is the future.
There is an absolute shift happening and it's not in favor of PC.
PC gaming sucks and at least more are finally admitting it publicly.
