Previous life goal: (still in progress)
"Raise the quality of 'love' that people are willing to accept."
New life goal: (in tandem)
"Enable as many people as possible to enjoy being themselves."
I don't interact with "News" because
1) it's usually dark, dangerous, and depressing and
2) it mostly exists to sell ads
and that makes me angry.
But what gives me hope is the realization that stories about humans being kind AREN'T SHOCKING ENOUGH TO MAKE THE NEWS.
Mailing me a ballot that I can then drop off by walking to the library has to be my favorite method of voting.
Plus, we got ranked choice voting for local positions.
I love Portland so much.
I know people hate bureaucracy and the clerks who make it possible, but they're the reason you have tropical fruit (IN WINTER!).
Having thought about it for a while, I experience people as 1 of 3 genders:
1) I want to cuddle them (always bio female and pretty)
- Girls -
2) Not "girl" and wants to manage my feelings (usually bio female)
- Women -
3) Dudes
Whenever someone* complains about having a big forehead I align my pinky to my eyebrows and show them how many finger-widths it is unil I hit hair (8, I have to use both hands).
This usually makes them feel better.
*you know who you are, don't out yourself by replying.
I adore tarot, but I bounced off of astrology.
I think this is because I use tarot to look at myself in the moment.
And the astro-folk I met were using the stars to set expectations for themselves to meet in the future.
Ever since I saw Bicentennial Man I've loved finding excuses to refer to women as "Miss [name]."
On at least one occasion it's been "Miss [Nickname]"
But I don't do it unless I *really* like someone.
Where on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs do you put "My 30 year old sister just called me because she couldn't sleep. SO I read to her for twenty minutes."
You don't "deserve" love.
Nobody "deserves" love.
No amount of [TRAIT] and no matter how [ADJECTIVE] you are will compel anyone to love you. Some people will value you and act like it.
Some people will value you and NOT act like it.
Some people will not value you.
That's in them.
The only things I *actually want* are time, affection, and connection.
If I'm getting those regularly, I'm already in heaven and my birthday isn't special.
If I'm *not* getting those regularly, getting them as a birthday social obligation feels forced and gross.
People keep acting like they gotta "justify" their feelings.
Like feelings need "permission."
No, babe, ACTIONS need permissions.
Feelings tell you who you are.
You don't gotta justify who you are.
You gotta figure where [who you are] makes the world better.
And GO THERE.
It has come to my attention that I am uniquely suited to being the weird mystic that lives in a small cottage on the edge of a rich man's property.
Unfortunately I would be unhappy unless I also had a wife.
Or at least a cat.
I believe that wanting a soft, warm, feminine presence that is only content when they are occupying at least one of your arms is the Platonic form of masculine yearning.

Tell someone what you appreciate while you have the chance. Specific gratitude—“you listened without judging”—helps people know what mattered.
Broke (and crass): I gotta take a shit
Bespoke (and genteel): Pardon me, I must suffer some indignities of the flesh.
