A remote worker owned 4 audio devices. Sony WH-1000XM5 for focus work. $350. Jabra Evolve2 75 for video calls. $280. Samsung Galaxy Buds for the gym. $130. A sleep headband with built-in speakers for falling asleep to podcasts. $40. $800 in headphones. 4 chargers. 4 cases. 4 devices fighting for drawer space. Each one “the best” at one specific thing. His coworker wore one pair of AirPods Pro 2 for everything. Focus. Calls. Workouts. Sleep. Commute. Travel. Meetings. Music. Podcasts. All day. Every day. One pair. He stared at her desk one charging case, no headphone stand, no tangled cables and asked: “How do you use one pair for everything? I need different headphones for different things.” She handed him one AirPod: “Put this in. I’ll show you 9 things your 4 headphones do separately and these do simultaneously. In one earbud.” He sold all 4 devices within a month. “I spent $800 on 4 headphones because I assumed no single earbud could do focus, calls, workouts, and sleep well enough to replace the specialists. The AirPods Pro 2 didn’t just replace them. They outperformed 3 of the 4 and matched the Sony on the one thing I thought nothing could touch: noise cancellation.” Here are 9 scenarios where one $249 pair of AirPods Pro 2 replaces $660+ in specialized headphones 🧵

A couple spent $1,400 on a 65-inch TV three years ago. They watched it on factory settings the entire time. They carried it in from the car, mounted it on the wall, plugged in the streaming box, and turned it on. The picture was bright. It was sharp. It looked incredible next to the old TV, so they never touched a single setting. Three years, thousands of hours of movies, football games, and shows, all on the default picture. They did have small complaints, though. Movies sometimes looked strange, almost like a daytime soap opera or a home video. Dark scenes were hard to follow. The picture felt harsh in the evening and gave them a bit of eye strain. Faces looked slightly orange. They figured that's just what a TV looks like. They'd paid a lot, so it had to be the best it could be. Then a friend came over for the big game. He installs home theaters for a living, and he spent nine years in a big-box electronics store before that. He sat on the couch, watched the first five minutes in silence, then picked up the remote and said: "This TV is in Showroom Mode. Well, close to it. It's set up to look good under store lighting, not in your living room." "It looks great." "It looks bright. That's different. Everything you're seeing is tuned to grab attention from 20 feet away under fluorescent lights next to 40 other TVs. Nobody ever set it up for a dark room and a movie." He asked for the remote and ten minutes. When he finished, the wife said: "I thought you bought us a new TV." "No. It's the same one. You've just never seen what it was supposed to look like." Here are the 9 settings he changed: 🧵

Tesla reports earnings today. Most people will only look at one number. A guy has followed Tesla for years. He reads every headline, watches every clip and has an opinion on all of it. Today he refreshed his phone every few minutes, waiting for the results. He had one question, the same one everybody asks. Will the stock go up or down? As far as he could tell, that was the whole story. One number, one reaction. His friend, a retired equity analyst who spent 15 years listening to earnings calls and has sat through more than 200 of them, texted him a single line. Don’t watch the stock. Watch the five numbers underneath it. The guy asked what he meant. His friend said an earnings report isn’t a score. It’s a story told in numbers, and the stock price only tells you how people felt about the story in the first ten seconds. He offered to walk the guy through it before the call, and he made one thing clear. He wasn’t giving financial advice. He was only explaining what the numbers mean. By the time the call started, the guy knew what to listen for, and none of it was the stock price. Here’s every number he told me to watch:👇

Caught this on my feed and glad I did. Congrats Zetwerk! @acharyaamrit @srinathramki
A pair of earbuds is a few grams of plastic, metal and electronics, made across several factories before it reaches a pocket. Solar panels, circuit boards and wind turbines are built the same way. For years, buyers had to juggle those factories themselves, while the one with exactly the right machine often never heard about the order. ZETWERK (@zetwerk) set out to close that gap. We first partnered with Amrit Acharya (@acharyaamrit) and Srinath Ramakkrushnan (@srinathramki) in 2019. Since then, that idea has grown into a network of nearly 7,000 suppliers, serving customers in 29 countries across energy, precision products and capital goods. Along the way, Zetwerk has brought work to builders from workshops in India to factory floors in Germany. Amrit and Srinath were joined by Vishal Chaudhary, Ankit Fatehpuria and Rahul Sharma in their journey. Today, Zetwerk’s name goes up on the NSE and BSE. Behind that name are thousands of people who built it, one part at a time. Congratulations Amrit, Srinath and the entire Zetwerk team. This film is for all of you, and everyone who builds with you. @bsomaia

Bill Gates, Chair of the Gates Foundation and Microsoft co-founder, says AI will do intellectual work radically cheaper, faster and more accurately. The real shift is not automating simple tasks. It is machines reaching areas we assumed would remain uniquely human. What is happening in mathematics may be a preview of every knowledge industry. "Once AI reaches superhuman intelligence, the scarcity of white-collar skills goes away."
