Do #SUPsep (stop using plastic to save environment & planet) for better tomorrow.

A quick reminder for today
If the heat bothers you, plant a tree.🌱
If the water bothers you, plant a tree. 🌳
If you like fruits, plant a tree. 🌲
If you like birds, plant a tree 🌿
And if you like life, plant many trees. 💚🌲🌳🍀

Here are the full details of the new @FinchleyPollin Project🐝🦋. Please RT, we are looking for folks/groups who can start seeds, plant plugs in April/May. Also keep your eyes peeled for small underused places to plant in N3, N12! Project kindly sponsored by @waitrose
We are looking for green-thumbed #Finchley residents & groups to start #pollinator-friendly seeds for us (and get paid), and/or good folks to plant in underused areas in N3, N12 that would benefit from flowers, bees, butterflies and moths. Biodiversity is declining, can you help?

Some good news 📣 : As a result of humans no longer using ozone-depleting gases, the world's #ozone layer is on track to recover.
And thanks to the collaborative effort of nations, about 0.5° Celsius of global warming can be avoided - a model for further climate action!

From January 1 to July 28, humanity has used as much from nature as the planet can renew in the entire year.
That's why July 28 is Earth Overshoot Day & sure enough it’s nothing to celebrate about :(

Today is #TigerDay2022 . The populations have increased. Where will these tigers go? Each male tiger needs abt 15 square kilometres territory. Where is the space? Will we see more clashes or more protected areas? Can an urbanising country like India keep pace with tiger needs?

Plastic pollution is awful, but it's not the same as global heating - which is our gravest threat - and the primary solution is ending the fossil fuel industry. Don't let them distract you. #EmergencyMode
