I often think about how a scheme that usually carries maybe 3-5 run plays can churn out 1k yard rushers like the Run & Shoot has.

I recommend everyone to look into this book about June Jones and his Hawaii program in the late 90s and 2000s. Gives a great account into him, his staff, and players and how they turned Hawaii into one of the best teams in the country.

We are saddened to hear the passing of legendary #HawaiiFB Coach June Jones today. He is UH’s winningest head coach with 76 wins, the master in the Run and Shoot Offense and a great mentor and teacher of the game. Coach Jones was 73 years old. Rest in Aloha.

June Jones is a an absolute legend. I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to learn the best offense in the world from him and others that worked/played for him. My goal is to carry on his legacy by growing the Run N Shoot and giving it the recognition it deserves.

Rest in peace, June Jones. A pioneer of Offensive Football. The Run & Shoot fundamentally changed the way the Pass Game is taught. It gave QB’s & WR’s the freedom to adjust routes and find space. I’ll never forget staying up until 2am EST watching his Hawaii teams score 60+ Legend.

We mourn the passing of the legendary June Jones. June’s greatest legacy wasn’t the records, championships, or the offense. It was the people he believed in, the opportunities he gave, and the lives he forever changed.
