When I went to Cuba a few years ago with @MPaarlberg , I said to him, "Cuba is the freest police state I have ever been." I get that it's like being the smartest kid in the special ed classroom but Cubans don't mince words. They're extremely direct & no bullshit. I liked that.

In 2021, I published my 1st book. I gave around 6 or 7 book talks for it. It was reviewed by a bunch of different academic journals & even some news outlets. In July of this year, I published my second book. Crickets. Are academics just not reading anymore either?
