I’ve somehow managed to upset every fanbase in America by predicting that a Top 5 team will win a national championship while losing some games to good teams along the way.

The biggest development in my annual stat projections after the Duke/Belmont exhibition: The potential minutes distribution between Drew Scharnowski, Cameron Williams and Sebastian Wilkins. Don’t be surprised if we see a more even distribution at the beginning of the year.

I see these three guys locked together right now in terms of minutes/production. If one earns more minutes then I think the other two will receive less and vice versa. This is assuming Pat and JBB have separated themselves and stay healthy.

Eleven Duke players have been named the National Player of the Year, and 72 players have been selected in the NBA draft, six of which were selected first overall (most all-time). Additionally, Duke has had 36 players named All-Americans (60 total selections).

The works in progress for Duke basketball: 1) Define roles/rotation with 12 legitimate players 2) Adjust to a world without a Cam Boozer or Cooper Flagg 3) Find the alpha 4) JBB and Cam Williams physicality and adjustment to college game 5) Health
It was a good day watching Jon Scheyer and @DukeMBB. It’s a Blue Devil team that obviously will be very good but it’s not wrong to call them a “work in progress” right now. Cayden Boozer is their most important player, IMO.

Being a Duke fan is such an elite experience - you wake up to this tweet, take a few seconds to figure out what is going on, go about your day and within a few hours have another elite international recruit joining the team. It’s so nice to never have to worry about recruiting.
My shot in the dark guess is this involves a player with two first names and a school who recently sent a three-year starter of the same country of origin to the NBA.

Less than 1% of Duke fans thought JBB would have a limited impact as a freshman for about 10 seconds back in May. Bart Torvik somehow built that into his scoring projections. Amazing stuff!
With all the new preseason analytics going out recently, it’s a good reminder how far off Duke’s looks. JBB & Blackwell look the part of leading scorers, I’ll take the over on 10 combined points between the two.

With Cam Boozer and Isaiah Evans gone, here's where Duke's returners and transfers shot from last season. Dame Sarr made 34 corner 3s, tied for the most of any high-major player, and John Blackwell made 32. Caleb Foster took just 8 midrange shots.
