You know what I think? I think Tim Sweeney is trying to minimise the damage of Epic when Unreal Engine 6 comes out.
Which is why he is going hard against Steam's Ai disclosures.
According to his admission, Unreal Engine 6 is built from the ground up to work alongside generative Ai. Of course he has a very clear vested interest to hide this information from gamers on Steam.
Looks to me like he's protecting his future product.
PLEASE let the rest of the world be next, fucking PLEASE. 70% of the world's current biggest problems would be solved and I'm not even joking.

as someone who grew up as a trans kid in the late 2010s to mid 2020s its been really difficult to watch everyone in the world straight up just be against your existence like what did i do girl its just not fair
I don't get it. They couldn't have used the budget for these 50 trillion skins to keep the game alive for 6 more months??
the amount of work they put in these skins is equivalent to AT LEAST 8 brand new character models, the clothes barely share any topology with the base model.
just to clarify something because the post is blowing up:
I'm blaming Riot execs, NOT the team.
They knew this game didn't have a chance a couple weeks after launch and decided to greenlight spending money on 32 skins instead of keeping the game alive for a little longer.
they announced 32 NEW SKINS this week, like, use that budget for at least 3 new characters!!!!!!!!! what the fuck is Riot doing??? why are they forcing the team to make skins instead of actual content????
