My Web3 Onboarding Capstone Walkthrough
Just finished the free Web3 Onboarding pathway at @RavenNetworkHQ.
It wasn’t “watch a few videos and call it a day.” It was structured modules, quizzes, practical tasks, and actual hands-on practice. Here’s my honest walkthrough of what the journey looked like and what stuck.
Raven Academy’s free onboarding path is designed as the entry point into their contributor ecosystem. You learn the basics, prove you did the work, and build a public Nest/profile with reputation tracking.
From there you can move into the paid Creator or Builder pathways if you want deeper skills and verified credentials.
Early modules focused on the non-negotiables:
How wallets actually work (custodial vs non-custodial)
Seed phrases, private keys, and why “not your keys, not your crypto” is real
Basic security habits so you don’t lose everything to a random DM or fake site
I treated these seriously. One careless click in Web3 can wipe you out.
Then we moved into multi-chain basics. Not just “what is blockchain,” but looking at different ecosystems (TON, Ethereum, Solana, Base, etc.) and why they exist.
The goal wasn’t to become an expert overnight. It was to stop treating every chain as the same thing and understand the trade-offs.
Practical side (the part that mattered most to me):
Setting up a proper wallet
Getting testnet tokens
Sending test transactions
Doing simple DEX swaps on testnets
These modules force you to actually click the buttons instead of just reading about them. That changes how you understand gas, approvals, and explorers.
Security kept coming back. Simple rules that still catch people:
• Never share your seed phrase
• Verify links before connecting a wallet
• Don’t sign random transactions
• Revoke old approvals
•Ignore “support” DMs offering free airdrops
I already knew some of this from past experience, but seeing it framed clearly inside the course still helped.
Reputation and credentials are a big part of Raven’s model. They talk about streaks, XP, Soulbound tokens, and building a public Nest that shows what you’ve actually done.
The idea is that learning turns into visible contribution instead of just another certificate sitting in a folder.
What I liked:
It felt structured. You know what the next module is. The free path is genuinely free. There’s a clear path from “I just joined” to “I have a profile and some proof of work.”
What still requires effort: Consistency. The modules won’t make me a builder or researcher by themselves. I'll still have to publish, practice, and show up.
My personal takeaway after going through the onboarding:
Web3 is still noisy. Most people get overwhelmed by scattered YouTube videos, Telegram groups, and hype. Having a clear sequence (wallets, security, chains and practical tasks) makes the early stage less chaotic.
I’m going to keep using what I learned to write clearer threads and researching projects properly.
If you’re starting out and want a structured free path instead of random content, the Raven Web3 Onboarding is worth checking.
I submitted this thread as my capstone walkthrough.
Still learning. Still building. Still curious.

$Kampe pay Attention.
Have Long time mindset.
Windows 11 is brilliant, but it has a massive hidden cost.
Out of the box, it behaves less like an operating system and more like telemetry-heavy software.
It logs your app usage, tracks diagnostic data, and sends background pings back to corporate servers.
In 5 steps, we learn how to take back your privacy and completely purge Windows telemetry. 👇
1️⃣ The "Polite" Settings Purge
Before using advanced tools, flip the switches Microsoft actually gives you.
• Open Settings (Win + I)
• Go to Privacy & Security -> Diagnostics & feedback
• Toggle OFF "Send optional diagnostic data"
• Turn OFF "Improve inking and typing"
• Turn OFF "Tailored experiences"
This stops the most obvious data collection, but the deepest background trackers are still running. Let's dig deeper.
2️⃣ Crush the Hidden Scheduled Tasks
Windows uses automated background triggers to run telemetry scans while your PC is idle.
• Press the Windows Key, type "Task Scheduler", and open it.
• Navigate to: Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > Customer Experience Improvement Program.
• Right-click and Disable every task inside this folder (like Consolidator and UsermodePowerService).
By turning these off, your PC stops actively packaging system reports to send away.
3️⃣ Disable the Telemetry Services
There are core background systems dedicated entirely to user tracking.
• Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
• Scroll down to find Connected User Experiences and Telemetry.
• Right-click it, select Properties, and change Startup Type to Disabled.
• Click "Stop" to kill it instantly.
This cuts off the live pipeline that streams local system events to external servers.
4️⃣ Use the Open-Source Heavy Artillery
Doing this manually for hundreds of hidden registry keys takes hours. Instead, let open-source code do the heavy lifting.
Download a trusted tool like ShutUp10++ (by O&O Software) or Sophia Script for Windows (via GitHub).
These free utilities let you toggle off deep-seated telemetry, Cortana leftovers, and hidden tracking routines with a single click.
Tip: Always look for the green "Recommended" settings inside these tools to keep your system stable.
5️⃣ The Ultimate Privacy Lifeline: Create a Restore Point
Hardcore privacy tweaks modify your system registry. Before running any automated scripts or third-party tools, protect your data.
• Search for "Create a restore point" in your Start Menu.
• Click "Create" and label it "Before Telemetry Purge".
If a debloater script accidentally breaks an app you need, you can roll back your system in 60 seconds flat.
Your PC hardware belongs to you. Your operating system's data settings should reflect that.

Targeting Bitget Global or BingX is an excellent thesis for initial centralized liquidity.
Since $KAMPE already has an established trading history via Bitget Wallet, moving upstream to their global CEX would be a highly efficient transition.
The combination of a 0% tax model, fixed 100M supply, and a dedicated community offers a very low-risk, high-volume profile for listing managers.

4 data leaks reported today:
1. Coinbase's vendor Amplitude exposed some users’ contact data (funds unaffected).
2. Bithumb (Korea) had user data leaks.
In TradFi, two securities firms in Korea leaked data:
3. Mirae Asset
4. Daishin Securities
You can't prevent a leak, but you can protect yourself.
Leaked exchange data (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, ID documents, transaction history) is mostly used for phishing, SIM swapping, and social engineering.
Reduce info you share
- Use a unique email alias for each exchange (SimpleLogin, Apple Hide My Email, etc). A leak then can't be linked to your other accounts, and you can spot which service leaked.
- Share only what's required. Don't add optional profile details.
- Use a dedicated phone number (a VoIP or secondary SIM) for exchange accounts if you can, since leaked numbers are the main route to SIM swaps.
Lock down the account
- Use a unique, long password from a password manager.
- Turn on hardware security keys (YubiKey) or passkeys, or at least an authenticator app.
- Avoid SMS 2FA.
- Enable withdrawal address whitelisting and a withdrawal time lock if the exchange offers them.
- Set up an anti-phishing code, which puts a code you choose in every legitimate email from the exchange.
- Review active sessions and API keys regularly. Delete any API keys you don't use.
- Restrict API keys to withdraw-disabled and IP-whitelisted.
Defend against
- SIM swapping: Ask your carrier to add a port-out PIN or number lock.
- Phishing and impersonation: Assume anyone who contacts you about your account, "security issues," or "refund recovery" is a scammer, even if they know your name, balance, or recent trades.
- Exchange support staff don't ask for your password, 2FA codes, or seed phrase.
- Never click links in emails or texts. Go to the site yourself.
- "Wrench attacks": Leaked addresses plus holdings data have led to real-world extortion and robberies. Don't publicize your holdings, and keep large balances out of anything tied to your home address if you can.
If a breach is announced
1. Change the exchange password and any other account that reused it.
2. Check haveibeenpwned.com for your email address.
3. Revoke API keys and active sessions.
4. Review recent withdrawals and security settings.
5. Watch for phishing emails and texts that reference the breach, because scammers move fast after one.
Stay SAFU! 🙏

Picture this: You get a DM or LinkedIn message from a recruiter offering you a dream Web3 job. The pay is great, the project looks solid, and they want you to interview.
But instead of a paycheck, you end up with an empty wallet.
Hackers also use fake job offers and PDFs to ruin Web3 users. 🧵
The trap starts with a highly professional approach. They will create fake, highly polished LinkedIn profiles or X accounts posing as HR executives from real Web3 startups or VC firms.
They’ll chat with you for days, building rapport and making the opportunity feel 100% legitimate. They aren't rushing; they are playing the long game.
Then comes the hook: "Can you review the project brief/contract and let us know your thoughts?"
They send over a file. Usually, it looks like a standard PDF, a ZIP archive, or a link to a Notion-like page containing a download.
This is where the trap snaps shut.
You might think, "It's just a PDF, what's the harm?"
Modern hackers use double extensions (like Job_Description.pdf.exe) or exploit zero-day bugs in PDF readers.
The moment you open that file on your Windows desktop, it silently runs an executable script in the background. No loading screen. No error message.
On Web3-focused targets, this malware does one specific job: it searches for your browser extensions.
It duplicates your MetaMask, Phantom, or Rabby local storage data and instantly beams it back to the hacker's server.
If you have your wallet unlocked or your password saved in your browser, they have full control.
Sometimes, they’ll ask you to download a "custom video conferencing tool" or a "coding assessment app" for the interview.
The second you run their software to join the interview call, your private keys are compromised, and automated bots begin draining your tokens.
How to protect yourself without missing out on real jobs:
• Never open interview attachments on the device you use for crypto.
• Upload any received PDFs to VirusTotal.com before clicking them.
• Be deeply suspicious of anyone asking you to download custom software to complete an interview or test.
Real companies will never ask you to compromise your device security to get a job. If a recruitment process feels weird or forces a download, trust your gut and walk away.🙂

Your Web2 skills could be the starting point of your Web3 journey.
Are you a Web2 developer with an idea you want to bring to Web3, but you don't know where to start or which blockchain to build on?
I think Whitechain might be the right place for you.
With EVM compatibility, familiar development tools, and low transaction fees, Whitechain offers developers a starting point to explore blockchain development and bring their ideas on-chain.
Your idea doesn't have to remain just an idea. Take what you already know, explore new possibilities, and start building in Web3.
Quick reality check: downloading that cracked Photoshop or pirated game to save $50 might actually cost you your entire crypto portfolio.
If you run a Web3 wallet on the same computer where you install sketchy, "free" software, you are leaving your vault wide open.
Think about it. The developers making these software cracks aren't doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. They need to get paid too.
And their business model? Hiding "info-stealers" inside the installer.
It is a completely silent trap. No lag, no pop-ups, no warning signs.
We’ve all seen the instruction text: "Please turn off your antivirus before running the setup." That is the ultimate red flag. 🚩
The second you click "Disable," you are voluntarily lowering your shield. The malware slips in, grabs deep admin access, and goes straight to work.
Once it is in, it doesn't need to guess your passwords. It just steals your local data.
It grabs the encrypted files from your MetaMask or Phantom browser extension, logs your keystrokes, and even scrapes your clipboard history in case you just copied a private key.
Within seconds, your digital life is packaged into a file.
That file gets automatically sent to a dark web marketplace or a private Telegram channel. From there, automated bots take over. They read the logs, unlock your wallet, and drain your funds before you even realize your antivirus was turned off.
By morning, everything is gone.
Your security isn't just about choosing a strong password; it is about the daily choices you make with your downloads. Keep your device clean, or the blockchain will teach you an expensive lesson.
It certainly did teach me.😂🙃
